What people say

"Café Babalú, nestled on Skólavörðustígur, a popular street in downtown Reykjavik lined with charming boutiques, offers a delightful and snug atmosphere. This LGBTQ-friendly establishment is the epitome of coziness. Treat yourself to a Swiss Mokka, hot chocolate, or chai latte while savoring their renowned vegan chili, grilled cheese, or cheesecake. The café's eclectic decor, adorned with cheerful trinkets, creates a vibrant ambiance that will make you lose track of time while enjoying a relaxing moment at one of their inviting tables. Once you've indulged in their offerings, take a stroll to the nearby Hallgrimskirkja church and explore the adjacent row of shops, allowing you to stretch your legs and burn off some calories."

" You literally can’t miss this place on your walk towards Hallgrimskirkja – it’s an orange building with a bright blue door! Inside is equally as quirky. But don’t let any of that fool you – this place knows how to make coffee! I’m a big fan of their chai latte. They also serve crepes, soups, sandwiches, and cakes. One of my favorite parts about this space is their outdoor patio. Oh, and don't miss the bathrooms!! Hours: 11 – 23:00"

"🌟 Café Babalú is a one-of-a-kind spot. ☕ Go for the quirky, eclectic decor. Stay for the friendly service, great coffee, and yummy treats. 🍅 Warm up with grilled cheese and tomato soup. 😀 There's a lot going on decor-wise, but it's fun, cheery, and bright. It'll put a smile on your face. ✨DON'T miss their Star Wars-themed bathroom with sound, lights, and lifesize decals of your favourite characters. ⏰ HOURS: 7:30 am - 9 pm"
