Trippy Tour Guide
"Make your way over to the blue wall and stop in front of it. This art piece called "Mur des je t'aime" which literally means Wall of I Love Yous but is generally called Wall of Love in English was created in 2000 by Frederic Baron and Claire Kito. The tiles represent 311 ways to say "I love you" in 250 languages. The artists went around all the Embassies in Paris and gathered 1000 ways to write "I love you". Then they selected the most visually appealing calligraphy to be made into ceramic tiles. Walls are usually meant to keep people away and separate them, but this one tries to do the opposite. The creators wanted to bring all people together around the universal feeling of love, no matter their age, status, or sexual orientation. I think it is one of the sweetest spots in Paris! I invite you to sit here for a moment to observe the reactions of the people who come to the wall. When you are done, exit the park the same way you came in and go towards the large red brick church facade straight ahead. Directions at the end - Walk south to walk out the garden and follow the sign towards.Basilica of Sacré-Cœur and then you will be walking along Rue la Vieuville"

"This lovely wall art, created in 2000, is next to the Abbesses metro stop. It's popular, but easy to miss if you have your head down. The calligrapher Fédéric Baron and muralist Claire Kito worked together to write "I love you" in 250 different languages. Watch out for the inevitable PDA and try to find your language! "
