Day one - Arrival

Arrive to Rome airport and arrange car service to bring family into city. This is pricey ($159) but very worth it after a long flight. The driver will meet you on the other side of baggage claim with a name card.

Stay

Airbnb - this was located so close to the pantheon. We were able to visit it almost every day, and a very central location.

We took a taxi, which was the same prices for adults on the bus to the Villa. We were underwhelmed by the Villa, but it did have incredible views, and allowed us to rent a four person bicycle that the kids got a kick out of.

Recommend entering through Porta Pinciana entrance. There is a kid playground and it’s where you rent a bike. You paid by the hour and one hour is all you need.

We decided to try our luck and go to Saint peter’s without tickets. We got there around 10 o’clock and had to wait about 30 minutes but it was free. Definitely bring something to cover your shoulders and make sure the kids are dressed properly, and if it’s a sunny day, would recommend an umbrella for shade.
