In this restaurant, pasta is a must, not only for the quality but also because it is served directly in the frying pan in which it was cooked only for you. Roman people usually don't eat Carbonara out of their houses, but here I did, and I highly recommend you to try it. Appetizers are also a must-try in here. IMPORTANT: It's located in Trastevere, mostly known for its night-life, and subway stations are quite far from this zone. Also, they don't accept reservation, I suggest you go a bit before 12:00 and 19:00 to avoid long queues.

Pizzium - Roma via Piave
@ariannasoro
This chain of pizzerias is pretty popular in Rome, but I recommend you this since it is located in a pretty central position. It can be reached with both the subway line B/B1 by stopping at Castro Pretorio station and the subway line A by stopping at Barberini.

Ristorante Raf
@ariannasoro
Located very close to the Vatican and the closer subway station is Lepanto. I tested this place myself multiple times and is a very good Italian restaurant, with very fair prices for both pasta and pizza. You can also try Pinsa romana here (a special type of pizza from Rome).

200 Gradi
@ariannasoro
Located between Vatican museums and Saint Peters’ Basilica, is perfect for a fast and cheap snack while visiting around. They are basically like subway but with very fresh and local ingredients.

La Zanzara
@ariannasoro
It is one of my favourite places for the Apericena as we say in Italy (a mix of aperitif and dinner ). Also, dinner here is very nice, and their wine selection is amazing. Located between Vatican museums and Saint Peters’ Basilica as well, is not far from 200 gradi.

Gelateria La Romana
@ariannasoro
Probably the best gelato you will ever eat in your life. Located in different parts of the city, I personally recommend this one as it is close to Vatican City and easy to reach. Don’t forget to ask chocolate in the tip of your cone.

Alice Pizza Via delle Grazie
@ariannasoro
This famous chain of pizzeria al taglio (literally at the cut) is all around the city. In case you find yourself somewhere else, just google it and you will find the closest to you. The pizza al taglio is a type of pizza on the go, it consists in choosing the flavours of pizza present on the counter and how big the piece will be. The price depends on the weight of all the pieces you got.

If you are a TiramisĂš lover, you can't miss this chain of bars. Here they propose different flavours of tiramisĂš besides the classic one. To mention a few: there is a strawberry tiramisĂš and a banana and choccolate one.

Dante's Bar Caffè

I used to go here for my coffee break when I worked in a shop close by, and they have always been very nice. Coffee is good, and sometimes I even had lunch here.

Giolitti
@ariannasoro
Located just behind the Pantheon, you can stop here for a quick tramezzino (triangular sandwich on the go), to have breakfast or to seat down for a sweet snack. It is really famous for locals, so much that politians go there too.

Antica Friggitoria La Masardona Roma
@ariannasoro
This pizzeria is owned by a chef from Naples. Here they serve both typical Naples pizza and fried pizza. In case you have no time to visit Naples, it is worth to pay them a visit. Remember to make a reservation on weekends evenings, it gets pretty full! Located very close to Castel Sant’Angelo,

Probably the best gelato you will ever eat in your life. Located in different parts of the city, I personally recommend the one close to Vatican City as it easy to reach. But this was the very first one of the city and if you are around, it is definitely worth it to stop by. Don’t forget to ask chocolate in the tip of your cone.

Ginny | Cocktail Bar | Wine Bar | Ristorante
@ariannasoro
Perfect if you want to try some local wine and have a happy hour just like locals do. I have been here only once with a friend that always goes, and I loved their happy hour. The happy hour price for eating is 6 euros and they serve a lot of food. To that price you have to add the drink of your choice.

All'Antico Vinaio
@ariannasoro
This historical place is originally from Florence so, if you are planning to go there, just skip it. If, on the other hand, you don't have time to go, this is a stop you should definitely make. Here they only have focaccia, which is a mix between bread and pizza, and you can choose what to put in it. They have a big selection of vegetables, cheeses and mixed cold cuts. They also have sort of a menu from which you can choose pre-made sandwiches.
