KANCHANABURI

I stopped one night in Kanchanaburi because of the buses connection for Erawan falls.

This is a very small town with a nice night food market.

My suggestion is to take advantage of its position to move around the area.

ERAWAN WATERFALLS

There are buses for one day trip to Erawan falls, when booking at the station take into consideration that the last bus from Erawan to Kanchanaburi is at 4 pm.

Erawan National Park

Part of the Erawan National Park, about a 70 km drive from Kanchanaburi. The waterfall is 1500 meters long and has seven tiers, some of them with a swimming area.

CHIANG MAI

From Kanchanaburi bus station there are comfortable overnight buses to Chiang Mai.

This option allow you not to go back to Bangkok for a flight and to save money for one night accomodation.

Once on the bus it will be given to you a voucher to use to have dinner in the only stop planned on the journey.

They provide you snacks, drinks, WiFi, blankets and AC.

It worth a visit, there's so much to see in here. I booked a private tour in Chiang Mai in one of the many tourist offices. You will be overwhelmed by the strength of the waterfalls.

ISLAND

I've travelled across Thailand in July and August during rainy season.

When planning your trip take into consideration that the weather condition can change depending on the coast.

For this reason I choosed islands on the est coast where luckily the weather was amazing with only few episodes of rain.
