Gustapizza
@wanderingduo
Arguably the best pizzeria in the city, Gustapizza offers an authentic Italian pizza experience. This is a must-try. This is a pizzeria – aka not a fancy restaurant. It’s cash only and there’s usually a line out the door. If it’s busy, know what you want to order and then listen closely for your number to be called (it’ll be FAST, like faster than you expect). If you’re lucky, there will be an open table packed with strangers and you’ll sit and meet a new friend. **Last time we were there, due to covid, you had to wait outside for your pizza order if you were taking it to-go. If you are eating in, prepare to pay a €2.50 pp “coperto” charge. 🌅 We loved taking the short walk back to the Arno River and eating on the bridge.

If there’s one place you must go to in all of Florence, it’s La Carraia. Just promise you’ll try the "Delizia La Carraia" flavor (but tbh, they're all amazing) and tell our friend and owner Roberto that we said hi! 👋 There is also another location on the opposite side of the Arno River.

Pizza Napoli is best for a quick, easy, and affordable pizza. This spot offers table service, but you can also order your pizza to-go. Aside from Gustapizza (where wait times can exceed two hours), this pizza is the best in town. Our favorite thing to do is order to-go and take a two minute walk to Piazza della Signoria to indulge.
