Bali & Gili T: a blissful 2-3 week itinerary
Arriving in Bali
When you arrive in Bali I would recommend pre-booking a transfer from the airport to your hotel to save any hassle when you get there. You can use the link below to book this, and make sure you select the Airport to Jimbaran/Nusa Dua/Seminyak Hotel option as the first place you will be visiting is Nusa Dua.
First stop- Nusa Dua
Nusa Dua is an exclusive beach resort town in Bali perfect for honeymooners or anyone who enjoys a luxurious setting, it's a great place to get your trip off to a relaxing start and experience the south of the island before you head up north.
Hotel recommendation in Nusa Dua:
Things to do in the South of Bali from Nusa Dua
Day trip around Bali’s South Coast:
Second stop- Seminyak
Seminyak is home to some of the best beach clubs in Bali, its a more lively atmosphere here with lots of parties and events so a great place to stay over New Years Eve.
Seminyak is located between Kuta and Canggu so you also have easy access to those towns from here.
Hotel recommendation in Seminyak:
Things to do in Seminyak
Getting from Seminyak to the Gili islands:
Ask your hotel to arrange a transfer for you from the hotel to Padangbai (this will take around an hour)
You'll then need to get a boat from Padangbai Port to the Gili islands and I'd recommend booking the one below:
Third stop- Gili Trawangan
The atmosphere here is electric; it has a fantastic nightlife where you can enjoy bonfires, beach parties, and cinema nights under the stars.
Hotel recommendation in Gili T:
Things to do in Gili T:
There is lots to see and do here but you don't really need to pre-book anything, you'll just get a feel for the island when you get there and go with the flow :)
Final stop- Ubud
Staying in Ubud is all about exploring Bali's culture and history; there is so much to see and do here and you'll be surrounded by stunning jungle scenery- this is the perfect place to end your honeymoon.
Things to see and do in Ubud:
Day trip to the Monkey Forrest with a tour of the best waterfalls and rice fields in Ubud:
My recommendation- Mount Batur sunrise hike
I did this trip when I was in Bali and it was the best experience, its a fairly challenging hike but you get to the top just in time for sunrise and see the sun coming up through the mountains its so worth it! Afterwards you're taken to some natural hot springs in the mountains which are also really nice, a great way to relax after the hike.
