Food

London has really good food, and the following are some of my favorites.

Dishoom Covent Garden
@cmheik
Dishoom is really good indian food, but honestly I couldn’t tell you what we got because I forgot, but it was really good and if I could only go to one restaurant in london again, it would probably be here.

Afternoon Tea at Corinthia London
@cmheik
Really good sandwiches, tea (obviously), and scones. I would recommend this even if you didn’t like tea, as their other stuff was really good and the experience was fun. I personally got hibiscus tea and enjoyed it.

Cinnamon Club
@cmheik
London is pretty well known for their indian, but we went to this place because it was close to where we stayed (more on that later) but it was really good. I would choose Dishoom over this, but if you could go to both i really recommend it.

Caffè Tropea
@cmheik
We went here for breakfast and it was so good, I cannot recommend their Eggs Florientine more. We went right before going to the british museum, as they are very close.

Chez Antoinette Victoria
@cmheik
Very good breakfast and decent dinner (although we had just got off a plane and we’re very tired so opinions for dinner may be skewed)

Stay

Sonder The Arts Council
@cmheik
The room was ok, it was pretty nice, but the AC stopped working a few times and workers had to come out and fix stuff, but the location of this place was absolutely amazing, right next to Westminster Abbey, Parliament, and the river.

Museums

The British Museum
@cmheik
You can’t do everything. Make sure to plan out what you want to see and go to see it.

The National Gallery
@cmheik
Dedicate time to this, and you could definitely see everything. Probably about 2-3 hrs.

Tate Modern
@cmheik
If you want to do specialty visits, definitely book ahead. Some of them when we went we’re booked for months.

Churchill War Rooms
@cmheik
Very cool to see the actual war rooms and history, and it was relatively quick.

Historical Buildings

Tower of London
@cmheik
Very cool to see such an old building. Make sure to go around the outside of the walls and see all the things inside the towers, as many of them have interesting facts/artifacts that alot of people miss because they are only here to see the crown jewel

Big Ben + Parliament
@cmheik
I’m not sure if you could do tours of the inside, or if it’s even worth it, but just looking at the outside is really cool. Make sure to atleast pass by it on your trip.

Windsor Castle
@cmheik
Very cool to see inside and the town is interesting to see. We took a tour that combined this and Stonehenge, and I recommend doing something similar.

Stonehenge
@cmheik
Not much else to do around here, so we took a tour that went through here and windsor castle (notes about that written above) and it was worth the time.

Other things

Borough Market
@cmheik
Good food, plus just a cool place to walk around. If you are looking to bring back food-y gifts for friends + family, this is the place to go.

Guides

We used the guide by Rick Steves and bought the book, it has a complete guide to all the landmarks, and what is worth seeing, etc. If you like to have a book/physical guide, this is the best one, but otherwise I would recommend just searching up things to do.
