For an UNFORGETTABLE experience:Â
On our most recent visit to Paris, we took a vintage side car tour! The tour was completely customizable and we asked to be brought by the Eiffel Tower and it was so so memorable!Â
Here is the exact tour we took👇🏻:
For close up shots:
At the end of Rue de l'Université
@czphoneshome
This is one of the most instagrammable spots of the Eiffel Tower! You have the beautiful Parisian balconies lining the streets and a park right at the foot of the tower! It’s really beautiful and probably my top spot for photos! 📸
To find this spot, type in Rue de l'Université into your maps and you'll notice right at the end of the street is the Eiffel Tower - this is where you want to take your shots!

Champ de Mars
@czphoneshome
This is the go-to place when visiting the Eiffel Tower! It’s the long strip of grass right at the base of the tower! And this is where you'll see most people taking their photos.
People come here to relax, picnic, play music and hang out! It’s also a great spot to watch the sunset and watch the tower when it’s all lit up! ✨

For panoramic shots:
On top of the Arc de Triomphe
@czphoneshome
This has been my favourite view of Paris since I first visited it in 2015! The top of the Arc de Triomphe offers the PERFECT panoramic view of the Parisian streets and monuments.
Tip: If you time your visit right you can watch the sunset and see the city transform! We did this my first year visiting and we got to see the city during the day, during sunset and at night. 🌅 Honestly so worth it!
It’s not super expensive to go up top; it costs 13 euros for an adult, there is a student discount but I believe you have to live in the EU to benefit from the discount!
You also don't need to prebook tickets, I never have! To access the line, make sure you're on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, right at the end and there is a set of stairs that take you under the street. This is where the ticket office is and where you start your visit.
DO NOT try accessing the Arc de Triomphe by running across the street, it is really dangerous, next to impossible and you'll most likely have to turn back because you need to start your visit from the ticket office. Even if there is a line, it moves pretty quickly and you'll have to go through security afterwards.
Important Note: to get to the top, you do have to climb a considerable amount of stairs but there is an elevator if necessary. The elevator will take you to the middle section where the gift shop is, but you will have to do the last few flights on foot!

Galeries Lafayette Rooftop
@czphoneshome
This is considered to be a little hidden gem to get a rooftop view of Paris! And the best part is - it’s free!
You can access the rooftop by entering the Gallery Lafayette and riding the escalators (of the store - there aren't any special ones dedicated to the rooftop) all the way to the top. Make sure you appreciate the building too - it’s stunning and at the top, you can head outside and enjoy the view! 🏙️
This location is directly behind the Palais Garnier (Paris opera house!)

For other iconic shots:
Trocadéro Gardens
@czphoneshome
This is a really great spot to get a complete view of the Eiffel Tower because it is directly across the street! There are fountains, green spaces and a building that offers a great viewpoint and photo spot! Most tour buses make a point of stopping here.
The gardens are also where they will host events on special occasions! 🎉 So keep that in mind because at certain times of the year, the area might be closed or blocked by construction!

Avenue de Camoens
@czphoneshome
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, you can find this adorable street that has become quite iconic for its beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower!
Most people love the view from the balcony but the view on the staircase itself is just as lovely and a great spot for photos!

Promenade du Cours La Reine
@czphoneshome
Walking along the Seine is another really great place to get some incredible shots of the Eiffel Tower. There is nothing quite like walking along the river and watching the iconic tower peep up behind the trees in the distance!
I'd recommend walking from Place de la Concord towards the Eiffel Tower - you'll pass some really important sites and bridges and you'll get some spectacular views of the tower as well as the Seine! If you have the energy, you can even start your walk all the way from the Louvre as well!
Tip: taking a Seine River Tour is an even better way to appreciate the views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine!
