Need some more information for your visit to Paris?
Major Airports:
-Charles de Gaulle Airport (international airport)
-Paris ORLY Airport
-Beauvais Airport
How to get around the city:
-There are 16 metro lines in Paris, stretching all across the city
-There are also 5 RER train lines, 4 tramway lines and countless bus lines
*all of this to say that there are many possibilities to get around Paris, my personal go-to's are the metro and the RER*
-Paris is organized by different zones, so when buying your tickets you need to keep that in mind. For example, fares going to the airport are going to farther zones so will be more expensive and are a different ticket. Most of the main tourist attractions are in zones 1-3!
-A single ticket costs 1.90 euros but you can buy tickets in bulk (groups of 10), these can all be bought in the machines in the metro stations. Typically when I visit, I buy 2 tickets per day I am there (one to get to the general area I want to visit and one to return home).
Getting to/from the airport:
-Charles de Gaulle: you can take the RER train line B straight into the city and connect to your accommodations from there.
-Orly: there is a special metro service that brings you from Orly called Orlyval to Antony Station. From there you can grab the RER train line B into the city.
*reminder that these are in farther zones and require special tickets which are more expensive. They can be bought from the ticket machines in the metro*
Getting to other cities in France:
-Paris is the most well-connected city in France so you can most likely go to where ever you need to by plane or even by Train or bus.
-There are 6 train stations in Paris and each has a specific region that they go to. For example, the Gare du Nord only has trains heading toward the North of France.
-Train travel is very easy, and can be cheaper than other methods of travel. I'd recommend checking out Trainline, Ouigo or Omio when booking your tickets.
