Unleash your taste buds on an unforgettable journey across the latest 2023 ranking of Asia's finest bars, brought to you by the brilliant minds behind The World's 50 Best Bars. This prestigious list is the result of input from a stellar lineup of 260 esteemed drinks experts, including celebrated bartenders, educators, writers, and cocktail connoisseurs from across the continent.
Despite being just a little red dot on the world map, Singapore packs a big punch by proudly boasting an impressive 19% of the top 100 awardees, with almost half of them also ranking in the top 100 globally too. Surprisingly, the order on the Asia list doesn't necessarily mirror that of the World list, adding an exciting twist to your choices. The power is in your hands!
For your easy reference, here's the coveted list of Asia's finest bars in Singapore, accompanied with my personal notes and insider tips (updated occasionally) to ensure you have an extraordinary experience!
Just be warned, drinking in Singapore is not cheap!

#2 on Asia's 50 Best Bars. #12 on World's 50 Best Bars.
Booked online (deposit required). There is a 2 hour dining limit, but luckily there weren't any other bookings that night, so we could stay longer.
The service was super on-point with all the employees being extremely knowledgeable about the cocktails and proactively refilling the sweet spicy tapioca chips/water. The summary table in the drinks menuzine makes it easy to make a decision and it was quite impressive how they work with local brands/partners to source ingredients. However, there weren't many light bar snacks to choose from.
The place is actually quite spacious with two cocktail bars, so our orders came pretty fast. The only thing was that the aircon (centralized from the hotel) was way too cold, but luckily they have shawls to provide.
What we ordered:
- White Toreador
- Pure Mango Tango
- Funky Panky
- Yuzu Whiskey Sour (best seller)
- Pony Martini
- Negroni
(all SGD28)

The entrance may be easy to miss, so look for a green door with red diagonal checkers, climb up 2 flights of stairs and press the doorbell. Highly suggest to book in advance as well as they get pretty packed.
Loved the fact that the menu changes with new drinks (each SGD20) every week, so there's always something to expect each time you come. Didn't order any food as we came after dinner, but appreciated the little bowl of goldfish crackers they gave us as a welcome snack.
Overall, the vibes here are unbeatable with the bartenders truly enjoying themselves at their jobs and making everyone feel welcome - may just be my fave bar in Singapore so far.

Tucked away in a corner in CHIJMES, their mantra is βsetting the bar for the futureβ with a super instagrammable 3D-printed bar top and tables made from recycled plastic.
We walked in on a Sunday and didn't need to wait at all (although we were only offered an outdoor option). The mocktails have a boozy option and all the drinks we ordered (SGD26) were a delightful surprise!
What we ordered:
- Guava
- Spaceman
- Cactus
- Blue Magic
- Passionfruit
- Biggie Vibes

Located in the Ritz Carlton (Millenia) hotel, their cocktail menu pays homage to the 60s pop culture in the realms of art, cinema, fashion and music. Service was what you would expect at a classy hotel - staff refilled our water and snacks (crunchy biscuits and almonds) quite frequently.
What we ordered:
- Cruella
- Breakfast at Tiffany's
- Polka Dots
(all SGD 26)

Loved how the cocktail menu was inspired by famous New Yorkers, plus I couldn't stop eating the addictive mustard-spiced popcorn, which they kept on refilling (for free). Would suggest to book in advance.
What we ordered:
- Kiss & Cry SGD28 (citrusy and refreshing)
- Lady of Song SGD32 (they pour the champagne in front of you so get your cameras ready)
- New York Sour SGD28 (not as sour as expected)
- Be My Guest SGD25 (nice blend of champagne and vodka)
- Piragua SGD25 (boozy watermelon sorbet)

We had to wait around 30 minutes before we could walk-in, but luckily there's a lot of things in Tanjong Pagar to kill time, plus it was super worth the wait!
We were seated upstairs, where we got to see the display of jars they use to ferment their own wine. Although their drinks are inspired by Singapore ingredients (like many other bars), they have a more creative twist, such as taking reference to Japanese culture (not giving anything away here, order the Oolong Highball to experience for yourself). They even gave us welcome sparkling sake and another round of shots. The setting is more laid-back and easygoing, making it a perfect place to chill after a long day. Recommend!
What we ordered:
- Sarapan (SGD 26)
- Tree of Life (SGD 28)
- Oolong Highball (SGD 28)
- Achar (SGD 26)
- Ferment Flight: Guava, Lychee, Mango (SGD 38)

Located on the top floor of the National Gallery Singapore, you can get a panoramic view of the Padang and the skyline from the outdoor seats.
Tying back to its location, the cocktails on their unique menu (titled the Real Art of Drinking) is inspired by all of the South East Asian artworks housed in the museum. The lamb shoulder taco we had was also super scrumptious!
Book in advance and let them know what's the special occasion for a complimentary congrats drink (wasn't up my alley though...)
What we ordered:
- Wok's That Smell SGD32 (smokey with a fried snack on top)
- Sweet Sayang SGD26 (tropical and sweet)
