Prague’s rich cultural history provides an ideal environment for the flourishing specialty coffee scene. From the influence of the Turks to aristocrats enjoying their brews, the city has embraced a diverse coffee culture since the '60s, with even earlier roots (like the sugar cube in Dačice, just south of Prague).
Beyond its reputation for fantastic food, Prague impresses with its exceptional coffee offerings—truly outstanding coffee. The city has experienced multiple waves of coffee enthusiasm, signaling a serious commitment to the craft. Local roasters are on the rise, and small specialty coffee shops focus on specific brewing styles, showcasing a dedication to both equipment and skills.
Below, you'll find some places I explored and researched, along with others recommended but yet to be visited. Prague has stolen my heart, so I'll be back for more, and rest assured, my list will be updated. One last note: as a non-milk drinker, my appreciation for these places lies in the excellence of black espresso.

Prague

Prague, the heart of Europe and capital of the Czech Republic, unfolds a captivating narrative of over a millennium. From the timeless allure of the Charles Bridge to the dynamic pulse of Wenceslas Square, the city showcases a diverse tapestry of architecture. Its historic streets harmonize with modern developments and verdant parks, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere. Beyond its visual splendour, Prague thrives as a cultural hub, hosting renowned festivals and nurturing world-class orchestras and theatres. Museums, galleries, and the Palace of Culture add to the city's cultural tapestry. Prague's architectural treasures, spanning various eras, contribute to its allure, making it a truly remarkable and somewhat underrated destination. The city's warm and friendly atmosphere, coupled with a culinary blend of tradition and multicultural influences, offers a delightful experience. Indulging in superb coffee, and savouring the robust beer and sausage offerings, I cherished every moment in Prague and eagerly anticipate my return to this enchanting city soon.

Speciality Coffee Roasters in a big way and that's cool sometimes. If the coffee and service is good it helps and this place has both. - Had a coffee scroll and it hit the spot just as much as the caffeine.

Super cool cafe doing big breakfasts and great coffee (cookies are also very popular) Internet is great and the staff are happy for you to sit around and eat and drink while working for the afternoon. The sweets all looked wonderful but I stuck to the bagel and was totally happy. I think Karlin is hard to find bad coffee in.
