Day 1 - Arrival

Barcelona has a lot to offer, and to cover it all, 3 days will be a bit less. However, if you've 3 days in the city, we will try to cover all the important landmarks and enjoy this wonderful city.

Our first place of visit will be the magnificent, La Sagrada Familia.

La sagrafa Familia is single handedly the best work of architecture I've seen till data. The cathedral is under construction for over 140 years now, and will hopefully be completed in next 2 years. Antoni Gaudí, who has done tremendous work across Barcelona, has given this world a masterpiece.

We will recommend you to take the English tour for La Sagrada familia. It will be worth it. The ticket contains two options, one includes the towers, and one doesn't. In our opinion, you should opt for the one with tower visit included.

From the tower top, you will see beautiful views of the city, the colourful houses, and the hotel towers in the distance.

Once done from La Sagrada, you should visit the two small parks nearby. Once in front, to get a gorgeous view of the building, and the other behind the building to get some snacks and ice creams.

From La Sagrada, we will continue to Arc De Triomf.

Ciutadella park is a great place to sit back and enjoy the sun. They've dedicated sitting areas, as well as a few ponds. If you want to enjoy boating or go duck watching, then you should check out these ponds.

The park also has a fountain followed by stairs and a church. The view from top of the church is great, and you'd definitely check it out.

After checking out the Park, we will make our way to the Cathedral. Now for this, you can either walk from the Gothic quarters, or take public transport. If you walk from the gothic quarters, feel free to try out some street food from the area. We tried churros in the area and loved them.

Right in front of the cathedral, is a wide plaza, You will see a lot of people sitting here. Normally a few street performers do performances right in front of the Cathedral. Sit here and enjoy the view.

After the cathedral, we will take a bus and head towards the beach area. Once you get down from the bus, you can either head to the beach, or visit Rambla de mar. Rambla De mar provides a great area to sit near the sea and enjoy the view. The place also has a lot of restaurants to munch on some tapas.

This restaurant is right at the edge of the water, and has high glass windows. We got ourselves a table at the corner, has some tapas and enjoyed the view.

After having tapas, you can explore a bit of the beach area, and then head to your hotel.

Day 2

We started day two by visiting one of the most beautiful gardens, Park Guell. Park Guell is where Gaudi did most of his experiments. And once the experiments were successful, he would incorporate them in La Sagrada familia.

Park Guell was pretty big and had a lot of different places to visit. There was a rock bridge that we climbed and took in the views from. A tunnel structure which was 100s of years old, and an open area to view the wonderful architecture from. All of this was amazing.

The view to see the architecture is pretty crowded, and we would advise you to start from there, to avoid the crowd.

Casa Batlló

After finishing the Park Guell, we will head back to the main city, and check out two more buildings worked on by Gaudi. First is Casa Batllo, and second is Cana Mila. You can decide to go inside both of these, or opt for one, depending on how much architecture you want to explore.

After checking the La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell, we decided to skip going inside both these places.

Right in front of the museum, is a shop, from where you can grab Coffee or some snacks.

After taking in the views, we will start making our way towards the magic fountain.

While coming down, you will come across another level, where you should see a lot of crowd. There is this open area where a few snack stalls are installed, and a lot of sitting tables are arranged. If you are hungry, you should grab some snacks and spirits here. We had Patatas bravas and Sangria here, and both were fantastic!!
