"This large square helps divide the old Gothic quarter with the newer Eixample neighborhood. If you take a tour, there's a good chance your group will meet in this square! I took a tour of the Gothic Quarter with a focus on the Spanish Civil War, and our guide told us this square was the site of one of the first battles! He even pointed out a bullet hole in one of the square's pillars. It makes an excellent entry point for learning about the history of the neighborhood!"
