🇻🇳Hanoi | Beyond the City
Hanoi experiences mild seasons and the cool weather can be felt around October to April.
Day 1: Arriving in Hanoi and Exploring
Found this cute place on Airbnb with a bathtub in the bedroom and it was super fun (grab some pizza 4P's and set up a movie night)
It's about an hour from the airport but super convenient if you want to just walk around Hanoi and be near the Old Quarter without the crowds of staying directly inside.
Day 2: Ha Long Bay Day Trip
Places included in the tour:
Climb to the top in 420 steps for the stunning view or just lounge at the beach and swim.
The tour includes kayaking / bamboo boat option if you don't want to paddle yourself
They then bring you to the caves to walk around and see the natural wonders within
Enjoy the sunset on the way back with some drinks before heading back to the city
Day 3: Train Street
Enjoy a relaxing day with spas and wandering around the city after a long day trip
Getting to the train street might be tricky as they don't allow you to just walk onto the street.
Follow one of the coffeshop owners by a back road and enjoy the train passing from one of the shops.
Day 4: Cultural Sites
Free entry to see the mausoleum but you'll have to pay to see the museum and residential palace grounds (definitely worth the visit as the grounds are quite extensive and you learn a lot about the life of Ho Chi Minh)
They do close from 1200-1400 so be sure to plan the visit earlier or later
Ngoc Sơn Temple via The Huc Bridge on Jade island is in the center of the lake but at 30,000 dong for entry it's not really worth unless you want to see giant taxidermied turtles
There are several different lines to get different types of ice cream (you can get it in a popsicle, cone, etc.) so be sure to queue for the right one
Didn't manage to catch a show but would love to see the interior
Italian franchise all around Hanoi with so many pizza flavours but they're all so good
Day 5: Back Home🥲
