"Make sure to have your shoulders and knees covered, you won't be allowed in otherwise. There are people outside nearby that will sell you skirts or shawls to cover up. The prices are probably inflated for Vietnam, but still affordable if you are coming from the U.S. But I find that it's better to be prepared in advanced so dress appropriately this day or bring something with you. If you are bringing cameras, they will make you check-them into a storage facility and you won't be allowed to bring them in. They will also make you check your water and will not allow you to chew gum or use sunglasses (even if only on your head) inside the mausoleum. Go early because it is crowded. The experience waiting to see it is longer than the actual experience. You're not allowed to stop while inside the mausoleum and you probably see him for 15 seconds. However, an incredible experience that I would not recommend missing. Ho Chi Minh is an incredibly important figure to the Vietnamese people and you can see even until this day how revered he is. "

"The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a large memorial located in Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, Vietnam. It serves as the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese revolutionary leader and President. The mausoleum was inspired by Lenin’s Mausoleum in Moscow but incorporates distinct Vietnamese architectural elements, such as the sloping roof. The structure is made of grey granite and stands 21.6 meters high and 41.2 meters wide. Inside, Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body is preserved in a glass case, and the mausoleum is protected by a military honor guard. The site is open to the public, allowing visitors to pay their respects to the leader."

"Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is the final resting place of President Ho Chi Minh. Because it is so significant to its people, it was decided that Ho Chi Minh’s body would be embalmed to allow the people to visit him when they wished. "
