But this time, I will guide you through some lesser-known places and tours that you may not have known existed. As a local in Vienna, I will take you on a journey through the city's best attractions, hidden gems, cultural landmarks, and culinary delights, ensuring you experience the vibrant history, stunning architecture, and rich traditions that make Vienna so unique. Get to Vienna

Here are several ways to get to Vienna:

1. By Air:

- International Flights: Vienna International Airport (VIE) receives flights from many global destinations (many low costcompanies too). The airport is about 18 km from the city center.

- Transfer to the City: You can reach the city center from the airport by CAT (City Airport Train - 16€), regular train (2,4€/one wayticket), bus (around 8€), or taxi (from 35€).

- Main site to the Airport in Vienna:

2. By Train:

- **International Routes**: Vienna is connected to many European cities by train. The main train station (Wien Hauptbahnhof) is centrally located. Austrian national Train company is called ÖBB.

- **Local Routes**: Regional trains and the metro (U-Bahn) also provide easy access to different parts of the city.

3. By Car:

- **Highways**: Vienna is well-connected by European highways. If you are driving, follow the signs to the city center and park in one of the city garages (startingfrom2,2€/h).

- **Parking**: Parking in the city center is limited, so it’s advisable to use park-and-ride facilities and public transport.

4. By Bus:

- **Intercity Buses**: There are many international and regional bus lines connecting Vienna with other cities. Bus stations are well-linked with public transport.

5. By Bicycle:

- **Cycling Routes**: If you’re adventurous, you can cycle to Vienna using European cycling routes. The city has a well-developed network of bike paths.

Regardless of the mode of transportation you choose, Vienna is easily accessible and offers excellent infrastructure for all types of visitors.

Through the Vienna

Vienna has very well regulated cityy transit system that includes trains, trams and buses. City trains are designated with the labels U1, U2, U3, U4 and U6. There is an app caled Wien Mobil that includes all the lines and make it easy to navigate through the city. The app is free.

There are variety of tickets that you can purchase in app:

- one direction ticket (90 minutes) - 2,40€

- 24/48/72 hours tickets - 8/14/17€

- one day - 5,8€

- 7/31 day - 17/51€

You can reach it by taking the U-Bahn U1 to Donauinsel station. Donauinsel, or the Danube Island, is a long, narrow island in the Danube River that stretches for over 21 kilometers. It is a popular recreational area for residents and visitors alike, offering opportunities for cycling, jogging, picnicking, and water sports. The island features lush greenery, beaches, playgrounds, and various bars and restaurants along its length. Donauinsel also hosts numerous events and festivals throughout the year, including the famous Donauinselfest, one of Europe's largest open-air music festivals.

University of Vienna Botanical Garden

You can reach it by taking the U-Bahn U1 to Hauptbahnhof station, then transferring to tram line 18 or 0 to Belvedere station. The Vienna Botanical Garden, or Botanischer Garten der Universität Wien, is a beautiful oasis located in the grounds of the Belvedere Palace. It features a diverse collection of plants from around the world, including alpine plants, tropical flora, and medicinal herbs. Visitors can stroll through themed gardens, including a Japanese garden and a rock garden, and explore greenhouses showcasing exotic plant species. You can reach it by walking from the city center or taking the U-Bahn U1 to Stephansplatz station and then walking for a few minutes. Judenplatz, or the Jewish Square, is a historic square in the heart of Vienna's Innere Stadt (inner city). Today, the square is home to several notable landmarks, including the Judenplatz Holocaust Memorial, which commemorates the Austrian victims of the Holocaust.
