"Rathaus, Vienna's City Hall, serves as the main office for the city's administration, employing over 2,000 staff members. Visitors are often amazed by the beautiful state rooms, which are used for events such as press conferences, concerts, and balls.
The city provides free public tours in German of the interior, along with an English-language audio guide. Alternatively, you can attend the free Game City event, which occurs both in the square outside and inside the building.
During our visit, we happened to come across a film festival at Rathausplatz so we didn’t visit the interior. "

"Built between 1872 and 1883 this neo-Gothic style is one of the most impressive sights in Vienna.
Beginning in November, the Rathausplatz square in front of the City Hall is transformed into a Christmas market, and from January to March, the large park in front of City Hall becomes a skating rink.

"Great to visit but to go inside:
-Only accessible by tours that happen Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1 pm. -Tickets are issued on site from 8 am, for maximum 50 people, first-come-first-served basis.
-No online reservation, and the tour is in German.
If you are ok with the above, give it a try"
