Totemo Ramen
@seconddinner_sthlm
The small hole in the wall joint that has become a ramen giant in our city. Only few seats available and queues can build up to an hour easily. But don’t let this discourage you. This is what a real japanese ramen experience is all about! Their broth is deeply complex yet balanced, with perfect noodle consistency. Go there for the Niboshi but don't forget to try their Shoyu, Spicy Miso, and vegan bowls as well. This is the place everyone measures up to in Sthlm. If you only hit one ramen restaurant, then this should be it.

Tengu
@seconddinner_sthlm
Since opening in 2021 Tengu has quickly become a big favorite of ours. One of the original founders of Totemo operates here, so you know there’s a legacy. They offer refined craft bowls built with attention to detail but still playful and interesting. Their chicken Shio topped with Iberico chashu is the real highlight. The great thing with Tengu is that you can also get a smaller version of any of their bowls, which is perfect if you want to mix in some other dishes from the grill menu or are introducing the wonderful world of ramen to someone new. They pack just as much flavor as the full size ones.

Stiernan Ramen
@seconddinner_sthlm
A true hidden gem on the Stockholm ramen scene. With a small, nondescript location in the middle of Gamla Stan, this place has become one of the go-to places for serious ramen hunters. When you get inside you are immediatly struck by the fragrance of carefully crafted bowls in the making, as well as the beautifully designed minimalistic interior. This is one of the smallest shops on the list, so get ready to wait for a seat if you go during peak hours.

Kapibara
@seconddinner_sthlm
One thing that you won’t find in many places in Stockholm is a good Mazemen. Luckily Kapibara delivers on that! Opened in late 2020 by one of the previous owners of Ai Ramen, Kapibara serves up New wave Tokyo style ramen with locally produced noodles. You can get a great bowl of both Shoyu, Shio Paitan and Miso Chili here and you can replace pork with swedish chicken in all of them.

Take Ramen
@seconddinner_sthlm
Take is one of our most frequented ramen joints in town, and for good reason. They serve some of the best spicy miso in town, rich in flavor and texture. The place is also quite big and accessible so waiting times are generally short if there’s any at all. The fact that you can also get a frosty glass full of Sapporo right from the tap just seals the deal! Don’t sleep on their half broth spicy tantan if you’re out to try something new, it really delivers.

Ichiro Ramen
@seconddinner_sthlm
Ichiro all comes down to a single man, Yang Sun, and his vision for good ramen. The idea is ”fine dining” level ramen, with daily fresh produce based on classic japanese thinking with a Swedish twist. The menu is very limited (usually a good sign!) with just a Tantan and their own ”Ichiro” ramen. Both featuring Sapporo style noodles, pork broth and their delicious Shiitake mushrooms. You can also get Guydon or other bowls if you want to mix things up.

Blue Light Yokohama
@seconddinner_sthlm
It’s hard to believe now but once upon a time ramen was a rare item to come by in Stockholm. Back then us ramen heads had only one place to go to cure our cravings: BLY. Although not normally focusing on the noodle art, every Sunday for nearly a decade they have been dishing out steamy bowls of old style Tonkotsu ramen to satisfy all slurping needs. This is the OG. And for a reason.

Guest Izakaya
@seconddinner_sthlm
A sister restaurant to the established and popular Soyokafe & Soyokaze, Guest is focusing on delivering a more laid back Izakaya experience where you can grab a beer, some small dishes and of course a bowl of their great ramen. Keep an eye out for their ”Sunday Roll” events, where popular Stockholm chefs take over for an evening of exciting tasting menus.

Tokyo Ramen
@seconddinner_sthlm
Popular spot in the central part of town, right next to Hötorget. Tokyo Ramen has often a bit of a line but you can get some really solid bowls here. Try their Tonkotsu and Shoyu Niku ramen, which features slices of marinated beef instead of pork. They really hit the spot!

Ai Ramen Klara
@seconddinner_sthlm
Conveniently located close to central station, this second location of Ai shares the same menu as the original restaurant on Sofia in Södermalm. They were the first ones that started making noodles in house with their own machine which they had flown in from Japan. Since then they have gone on to win the “Gulddrake” for their ramen, the biggest restaurant reward being handed out in Stockholm. Ai also packs a well equipped bar with good selection of beer and cocktails.
