Tunisia is definitely underrated. Mediterranean beaches, Roman ruins, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Sahara desert, movie sets (*ahem* Star Wars), the smells and visual overload of the souks in the medinas. I'm blown away by how Tunisia is often over looked as a North African destination. Not only is it extremely affordable it's safe and easy to travel in.
