I know, who actually “vacations” to Silicon Valley? Most people are either passing through on their way to SF or south to Santa Cruz or Monterrey. Here on a work trip? There are fun things to do and eat with your down time (if you have some!). If you've got a weekend in the South Bay, here are some great spots to see/do/eat. Also, you can skip the Winchester Mystery house.

This is an itinerary I made with my family, we did a lot of places in a short period of time, you can definitively stay longer in some places, or do just one part of it ( for example only Galicia , Cantabria & Asturias; or only Pais Vasco )
The only place I would skip in this itinerary is Vigo, the rest of them are incredibly nice. Orense is nothing special but the Canyon is worth visiting.

For the past couple of years, Sarah, my best friend from college, and I have planned a girls trip in the winter months to escape the seasonal depression of Denver and Chicago. It's one of my favorite weekends of the year filled with self-care, shopping, fresh air, and copious cups of tea.
We intentionally plan this weekend to have little to no plan so we can be more present. There's no better place to unwind than along the California Coast. Everything in this guide has been tried and vetted by yours truly!
As always, I'm happy to help you plan a custom itinerary for your trip to Big Sur! Just reach out to me directly (:

My family and I embarked on an unforgettable road trip last summer (2023). This journey was a dream come true for me, as I had meticulously planned the itinerary several years in advance. One of the absolute highlights was experiencing the majesty of Avenue of The Giants, fulfilling a long-standing desire to behold the towering trees along this stunning route.
Our road trip through northern California offered an abundance of awe-inspiring landscapes, from majestic mountains to picturesque beaches. We were able to cross off must-see destinations such as Yosemite, the Redwoods, Lake Tahoe, and Big Sur from our bucket list, and were pleasantly surprised by a few hidden gems along the way.

"Big Sur, one of the world’s most unforgettable stretches of coastline. This roughly 90 mile long stretch of redwood and fog trimmed waterfront between Carmel by the Sea and Hearst Castle draws you (and writers like Henry Miller and Beat Generation darling Jack Kerouac) in with a magic allure that is almost palpable. This is, quite simply, a place you want to be: bluffs, sea and sky. The classic drive through Big Sur, along twisting Highway 1, offers plenty of pullovers at places like seen it in a million car commercials Bixby Bridge. Stop at parks along the coastline and look up to see endangered California condors, North America’s largest birds, or look down to scan the swells for migrating whales or sea otters floating among dense beds of kelp, California’s signature seaweed." - Visit California
