Seven days through Arizona & Utah

Save this detailed 8-day hiking and road trip around the Golden Circle of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. Featuring five National Park sites: Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, and Grand-Staircase Escalante. Each day includes a day hike and scenic drives—including Angel's Landing and The Narrows. This guide is jam-packed with 46 recommendations, including a central Airbnb in Kanab, Utah, restaurants and bars, hiking trails, and tips for sightseeing in each park. This trip is best suited for small groups who are able to hike between 1.5-5 miles each day at elevation, plus some ebiking. There are so many amazing national parks within driving distance in this area. We have had a lot of people ask us to share our itinerary for this specific trip. So, here is our version of the BEST itinerary for a road trip through the American Southwest. We took this trip at the end of May into the first week of June. We actually did the trip in the reverse direction that I am going to list here, but you get to learn from our experience. If you travel in late spring or early summer, we feel that the direction below is the best direction. If you travel in late summer or early fall, you would want to reverse the direction.

7 days driving around the picturesque state of Arizona? Yes please! This itinerary will take you to three National Parks (Saguaro, Petrified and Grand Canyon) as well as Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe bend. The accommodations for this trip are as luxury for each area as we found and include at least one top food spot in each location also. The trip is aimed at a balance of outdoors and luxury. We wanted to be pampered after so much hiking and outdoor activities! Because we road tripped we chose to bring our cooler. We stopped at some local grocery stores and picked up snacks for the road and light meal options. We didn't eat out 3 meals each day and sometimes we just wanted to be spontaneous and ask our tour guide where to eat next. The trip is roughly 7 days but you can stay longer or shorter in each place if you choose.
