It's chaotic, but in the best way possible, perfect for snapping some gritty, authentic travel photos. If you’re into history, Colombo's got you covered. A comprehensive 2-3 week Itinerary in one of the most best countries I have ever visited. Sri Lanka is a beautiful and versatile country. It is not big and the distances between destinations are short. You can visit Sri Lanka with a fixed itinerary, but this is not necessary. Booking a hotel last minute is easy and transport is often available without a reservation. Due to the many highlights, it can be difficult to make choices: there is so much to do, even in two or three weeks you will not be able to see everything. Who hasn't heard of Spanish patatas bravas? It's believed that this popular Spanish dish has its roots in Madrid, where it began to be served in bars and taverns in the early 20th century. By default, it is a vegetarian dish consisting of a bunch of potatoes, which might have been fried, boiled in water, boiled in oil, or even baked (depending on the personal homemade recipe), mixed with a spicy sauce and/or mayonnaise or aioli (in Catalunya). Multiple bridges gracefully connect the city's three main districts: the historic Old Town (Vieux Lyon), the peninsula known as Presqu'île, and the riverbanks on the right bank of the Rhône. For a short stay, it's advisable to choose accommodations as centrally located as possible, ensuring easy access to the city's primary points of interest. While Lyon is mostly walkable, do keep in mind that it encompasses several hilly areas, particularly the Fourvière Hill. For those less inclined to undertake the uphill journey on foot, there's a cable car service available to ascend the heights.
