I am recent college grad who has been planning my family's vacations, and then my solo travels, since I was 11 years old! I'm from New York, so NYC is my specialty, but I've been all over the East and West Coasts, as well as much of Europe, and I'm looking to travel to Asia soon. Throughout my solo travels, I've learned that I prefer a balance between tourist attractions and living like a local (with a heavier emphasis on the latter). As a student, I travel on a VERY tight budget, but I've figured out how to stretch every dollar and where to compromise in order to not miss a single experience. At night, you'll more likely find me in a cocktail bar than a club. I also love to hike, camp, and be near the ocean! I lived for 8 years in San Francisco, and spent extended time in Lima, Peru and Mombasa, Kenya. Even though I've moved back to my hometown of Washington, DC, I still stay up to date on the SF food scene and travel back often for work! I'm pretty tapped into the DC food and coffee scene. I am a Southern California native, mother of two, military spouse and travel lover currently located in Naples, Italy. Now, living in Italy we have many more opportunities for travel, both throughout Europe and locally near Naples, Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast.
