I am an architect and I live in Milan. In every trip, I always try to integrate some architectural elements. I have also lived in Turin, Barcelona, and Nagoya. Milan born and raised, lived in Hamburg and constantly traveling throughout Europe. 
Solo female backpacker sometimes but even when I am with friends, usually we're all female, so girls I got your back. All my itineraries are walkable ones, but of course you can do them with public transport.
My flex is choosing the best restaurants in town everywhere I go, whenever I am somewhere new I try their local food.
