I went into 2023 with a huge appetite for travel but very few plans to do so. Little did I know London was on the horizon, and while my annual anniversary trip was much tamer than usual in humble Huntsville AL, I was so glad to do a solo Disney World trip (again), take my girls on the road for the first time to Louisiana, and have lots of Tennessee day trips in between. You will enjoy Sofia, probably a lot more than you’re expecting! 🚌 Take advantage of their public transportation as well . You can tap your credit card + their system will limit your total number of tickets to be equivalent to a daily pass = 4 leva ~ 2 euros! It’s amazing. Please remember to do your own research before embarking on any trip. Although I’ve personally visited 90% of these spots (others came from local recommendations), businesses can close, areas can change + the information may not be 100% accurate for your time of trip. And then not fully understanding what were the most relevant things for your kind of traveller? Well, I've been there multiple times!!! That's why I though that, as a local in Lisboa who has explored everything this city has to offer, I can make things easy for someone planning to visit it by creating a single source of information with all that. 86 places split into categories to make navigation and priorization easy: 1. Lisboa-exclusive places you must go to (3 tiers according to relevance) 2. Places around Lisboa you should visit (includes Sintra, Almada and Mafra) 3. Hidden gems (again 3 tiers according to relevance) 4. Old trams / Elevators / Funiculairs (you can be a fan and go around all of them or simply pick the best ones, which I refer) 5. Viewpoints (again, either go to all of them or just my top picks) 6. Oh, we're just getting started! Now that I have a travel buddy, my wanderlust has been awakened like never before. I didn't do all my travel with her, but with her finding cheap flights, I finally got to go places I never thought I'd get to and they were just so much more accessible.
