During this time I've managed to travel through 20+ countries and live in Corfu, Greece, Bolzano, Italy, and spent a large portion of my time in the Czech Republic studying! I'm currently located in Auckland, New Zealand, and am about to embark on a month-long van life adventure through the country! Welcome to my (and hopefully our) adventures! I have lived all over the United States, and I have a passion for the outdoors and budget-travel. My style of travel is easy-going, yet filled with adventure and excitement. I focus on connecting with people and community, as well as immersing myself in the outdoors as much as possible. Finding a balance between these two have led to some amazing memories, and I cannot wait to share them with you. Most recently, I lived in my car for over seven months, while I visited every National Park in the lower 48. I hiked, camped, met amazing people, and hiked some more. I got to experience the parks like a local, because I had no timetable, no flights to catch, no rental car to return, etc. Some parks I stayed only for a few hours, and others for over a week. I chatted with park rangers, stayed with people that lived nearby, and camped with others at some amazing campsites. The travel guides I share give you an "insider" look at the national park, with tips for the best hikes, tricks for finding campsites (but I always include hotel options too), as well as information about the various aspects of the parks. 📍Tambre, BL - Italy “You’ll never know how beautiful is to travel alone until you do it!” Yes, it’s true. There is some kind of magic about travelling alone, you have nobody with you to talk with, you are alone with yourself, with your mind and with your heart. You can feel the the freedom in everysingle thing you find on your journey, in the blowing wind that uncomb your hair, in the music coming out from a crowded pub or in the noisy main street traffic of a big city, in the silence of an empty train station of a countryside small village or in the sound of the ocean while walking on a coast path with only the seagulls over your head. When I travel I like to feel the nature and the true spirit of a place, I like to walk, to see the little streets of a town, to get into a pub and have a beer or stop for a coffee, to see every unknown corner of that place, and most of all to see places that make me feel in connection with God. From the cliffs on the ocean to the top of a hill, from the last floor of a skyscraper to an old boat moored on a river. I also like to eat and drink, I often want to try the local dishes in the day and, as for now I work as a prfessional barman, sometimes to go for a cocktail tour in the night. My favorite destinations are the main cities of the Country I'm visiting and the small villages near the ocean! I live in Tambre, a small village in the venetian Alps. I traveled a lot in Ireland and UK, but also in northern France, Lithuania, Dubai and around Italy. I speak Italian and conversational in English.

Hi, I'm Jaya. I backpack full time around the world, always on a carefully curated budget. Somehow, I end up with loads of free accommodation, in rural areas of countries with locals, at festivals with a free wristband or travelling an entire country in a van for next to nothing. How I get through most of my trips is a shock to even me, but I always pull through with some of the most amazing experiences. Some highlights of my trips I'd love to share tips on; I flew from Australia to Europe for $360aud. I travelled in a van from north to south Portugal for $300aud for a whole week. I've volunteered in rural Indonesia teaching a muslim community English, I donated $90aud and I had free accommodation, transport and food for the entire 10 day stay. I managed to get 7 weeks free accommodation across a European Summer one year & saved thousands of dollars. I also want to mention, I'm a massive advocate for dining out, good coffee and good wine. I'm not much of a shopper, but will buy something if my wardrobe wouldn't survive without it (vintage, yes please!) I do travel very light with a 30L backpack that covered me for 5 months straight, & I still haven't seen the brand go viral yet? Everything I've learnt feels far too good to gate keep.
