This is a simple, flexible, 3-day itinerary for a budget traveler. It also includes a list of places to stay, both hostels and hotels, that are affordable but high-quality. Make sure to check the detailed descriptions for each place. Also, be sure to read all hostel/hotel descriptions to make sure you book exactly what you're looking for!
This guide is organized as having at least one thing from each of the following categories for each day: culture/history/art, outdoors, & food/drink/nightlife. For museums, I try to include about how long to plan. This guide is organized by day, but not necessarily time. The activities included in each day should fill your time but not leave you feeling rushed. Feel free to mix the order of things as it works for you.
Please be aware that a few of these places overlap with my paid guide "Art, Culture, History: A Collection of Must-Dos in Berlin". However, some of my favorite spots didn't fit in this itinerary but they are available there. Therefore, if you'd like to buy that guide for some extra ideas, enjoy 15% off with code BERLIN15!
To make sure you have the BEST possible experience in Berlin and other parts of Europe, I offer personalized travel services such as consultation calls, itineraries, and curated lists. Check out my travel shop to learn more and feel free to email me at autumnmarietravels@gmail.com!

Within my five years of living in Munich, I've genuinely always loved the city from the bottom of my heart (and stomach). This is for various reasons, one of which is that I was lucky enough to have a job that allowed me to try out new cafés, bars, and restaurants around the city, which, in-between cobblestone streets and ornate facades, regularly sprang up from the ground like snowdrops in early spring.
Luckily, I somehow got paid to do that, which was an extreme relief to my lifestyle-exhausted wallet, given the sheer number of aperitifs, sushi platters, club entries, and pasta bowls consumed.
Over the years, the following hospitality havens and pretty places around town turned into my go-to comfort spots. And since there's always some public holiday in Christian Bavaria, every time Jesus chewed on a blade of grass, let's just assume that a weekend in Munich generally lasts for three days – and, that each day automatically unfolds like this: breakfast, lunch, aperitif in the sun, dinner, bar, club (or another bar).

Berlin has some fantastic modern museums that are great for kids, offering hands-on experiments, exciting workshops and guided tours, all aimed at twerking your children’s interest and keeping them entertained.
With a complex history and cool urban vibes, Berlin may not immediately be your 1st choice or strike you as a family destination. But think again, this city is full of green spaces, parks and playgrounds which kids of all ages will love, as well as the largest zoo in Europe! So why not rent a bicycle or take a river cruise to explore?
So without further ado, let’s look at the best things to do with in Berlin with kids.
