Lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia
Zdravo (trust me this one will work in all Western Balkan countries)! My name is Ziga and I'm from Slovenia, which is the northernmost part of the Balkan peninsula. ▶️Yeah, I know you've heard about Balkan before. It is that mosaic of countries on the Eastern side of Europe, where stories and myths still live, where food is so delicious that you won't be able to stop eating (nor will Balkan people stop feeding you), where nature is so pure and unrealistic that your brain won't believe that you are still on the same planet. ▶️Well, I know this region even better. I speak and understand the languages of people living there, and even with stamps from 40+ countries on my passport, I can’t stop exploring, what I believe is one of the most beautiful parts of our planet. ▶️Check some of my travel guides. Or even better, let me help you with the creation of personalized itineraries. For those who really wish to understand where they are going, I offer very detailed travel consultations. I have always enjoyed preparing trips for all kinds of travelers; for those who find their peace in outdoor activities and those who enjoy exploring long-lost ruins. Let's embark on a Balkan Journey where you will finally realize that dreams can really come true. ✈️ Connect with me: 📸 Instagram: @balkanjourneys 📩 Email: balkanjourneys@gmail.com 🌏🎒 #BalkanJourneys #MosaicOfCountries

Jiun-Wei Lai
Lives in London, 英國
Hi, I am Jiun-Wei from Tainan, Taiwan. I have been living in the UK for around a year. Over the past year, I have traveled to 19 countries on the European continent with a backpack. Overall, I have visited nearly 35 countries around the world since I was a child. Old towns, atmosphere, local food in the alleyways, architecture, etc., always bring me inexplicable peace. While traveling, I also carry on my job to find a balance between my life and career. Especially working in a variety of places can give me more inspiration and sparks. Not only did I earn a bachelor's degree in Tourism and Culture in Taiwan, but I have just graduated with a Master's degree in Tourism Management from Bournemouth University. Meanwhile, I obtained the status of tour guide and tour leader. During the period of schooling, it fostered my deep interest in culture and history. Moreover, exploring and tasting delicious food worldwide is one of my interests. Hence, the itineraries and the advice I arrange and make for customers are planned around slow-based and historically significant sights and cuisine to provide an enjoyable but alternative travel experience in such a fast-paced society. I have a deeper understanding that each country has unique characteristics and culture after traveling to a number of countries. For instance, the most stunning scenery I have seen is in Iceland; the most mysterious country is Armenia; the place with unexpected scenery is Malta; the most impressive is Jordan, while the most friendly country is Taiwan. Hence, all of memories I gained makes me want to digitize the travel experience and share them more specifically. I hope to help people all over the world feels effortless to plan each of adventure by compiling travel experience into well-organized guidebooks and itineraries that contains my personal travel tips and advice!

Kayla Fedeson
Lives in New York, NY, USA
Hey there, I'm Kayla! I have lived in New York City for over 10 years and have been traveling the world for more than 15. Through solo travels, those with friends, and group tours, I know firsthand what places you need to see on a trip, as well as those that you should see and may have never heard of. I am a history nerd, nature junkie, and huge sports fan, so my ideal trip combines all three of these things. I love ancient sites and exploring as many around the world as I can, am trying to go to all 400+ United States National Park Sites and all 30 MLB stadiums, and travel every four years for the Women's World Cup. If you are looking for guidance on where to take a short break, longer break, or adventure, I am your go-to. I can make recommendations on where you should look, tell you all of the things you can do in your destination, as well as the things you cannot miss. As I develop this page further, I want to be a resource full of fun facts and personalized recommendations on what you should do and where you should go. I have traveled to 34 US states, plus DC and Puerto Rico, and 38 countries. I've been giving friends my extensive travel guides for free for years, so now it's my turn to share with you. Living off a credit card and minimum wage for the first year in NYC with a ton of curiosity, I had to find ways to do everything on the cheap. I went to pay-what-you-wish nights at museums, found free things to do, and still very rarely do I pay full price for a Broadway show (and if I do, I know how to save at least $10). I can tell you about a lot of fun expensive things, but if you are looking to travel on more of a budget (it's a cruel world out there), I can help with that too. Travel is my passion, but I love rock climbing, softball, running, & reading too.

Karen Kandelman
Lives in London, UK
My name is Karen Kandelman, and I've had the incredible privilege of living in six diverse countries, traversing through fifty others, and immersing myself in the vibrant tapestry of human existence. I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but have been living in London for 7 years now. From an early age, I was captivated by the beauty of diversity, drawn to the melodies of languages as varied as the landscapes they belong to. My linguistic odyssey began with Portuguese, my mother tongue, and expanded to include Spanish, English, French, and Dutch. These languages are not just a means of communication for me; they're windows into the hearts and minds of people from every corner of the Earth. My journey has taken me through bustling city streets and serene countryside, from the sun-soaked beaches of Brazil to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps. With every border crossed, I've embraced the local flavors that tell stories of heritage and tradition. Food, after all, is the world's most accessible work of art, a masterpiece that captures the essence of a culture with each delectable bite. Whether savoring a rich and hearty bouillabaisse in Marseille, indulging in the intricate spices of Indian cuisine, or relishing the delicate nuances of sushi in Tokyo, I've found my sense of wonder through the world's kitchens. But my exploration doesn't end with food; it extends to the world of art as well. Museums, galleries, and street art have been my guides to understanding the soul of each place I've visited. From the classical brushstrokes of the Louvre to the vibrant murals of Mexico City's neighborhoods, art has revealed the aspirations, struggles, and dreams of humanity throughout time. Through my experiences, I've come to understand that the essence of a place is not solely in its landmarks, but in the stories of its people. The elderly street vendor sharing tales of their family's recipes, the street artist pouring their heart onto the canvas of the city walls – these are the true narrators of a locale's spirit. As I continue this lifelong adventure of exploration, my goal is to bridge the gap between cultures, languages, and traditions. I aim to bring the world closer together, one plate and one canvas at a time. Through the lens of food and art, I hope to inspire others to embark on their own journeys of discovery, embracing the rich diversity that makes our planet an exquisite masterpiece. So, let's embark on this adventure together. As I share my stories, experiences, and musings, may we find common ground in our shared humanity and celebrate the kaleidoscope of life that surrounds us. Here's to the thrill of discovery, the joy of a new taste, and the beauty that is inherent in our world's every corner.

Grayson Martello-Livingston
Lives in Seattle, WA, USA
For starters, I am a passionate digital nomad constantly stuck between Seattle and Rome. One who has an insatiable thirst to inspire others to discover everything "Il bel paese" has to offer. Fluent in Italian and deeply rooted in the culture, I craft bespoke luxury travel trips with a local heart. I blend authentic culture, delicious cuisine, and high-end stays for unforgettable adventures. Let me guide you through 'l'italianità, ' the true essence of Italy. My lifelong love affair with Italy started as a child immersed around a devoutly passionate Italian grandfather and a mother who played operatic classics from Pavarotti to Bocelli since I was in my crib. I entered university only a few years after my grandfather's passing, and, with the influence of my Italian professor, I took the leap to live and study in Rome. Ever since then, I have dedicated the last seven years of my life to perfecting my language skills, traveling to almost every Italian region, and reconnecting with my roots in an even more sentimental way than I had ever imagined possible. That said, I like the finer things in life. Still, I also enjoy venturing into uncharted territory beyond my comfort zone to discover the essence of any cultural context I find myself in. However, I did not fully take the dive into pursuing this passion as a full-time vocation until April 2024, when I sold my previous business venture as an exit plan and entered a new stage of my life. I would love to dedicate my time to a venture that truly inspires me every day! My ultimate goal is to use my knowledge and passion to guide you on an Italian adventure that is not only magical but also an experience that will infect you with a yearning for "I'talianità" (the Italian spirit) that can only be tasted, heard, seen, and felt by seeing it for yourself over and over again.

Shanna Schultz
Lives in Montgomery, MN, USA
Hey! I am Shanna. I am a family travel expert who has been to over 45 countries, and I can't wait to help you plan an enriching, life changing trip with your kids! It is easy to plan a pretty trip with lots of fun stops and neat things to see (heck, AI can even do this for us now). Why should you work with me? The difference is that I have been an ACTUAL travel agent in real life. It is really easy put together all sorts of fun things on an itinerary on paper, but being responsible for creating dozens upon dozens of trips for families that actually happened and worked gives me a whole different level of expertise that most of the folks on this site don't have. It means that I am only going to put reputable suppliers into your itinerary that I KNOW will give you the experience that you are looking for. It means that I am going to look at your itinerary from a bird's eye perspective, looking for friction points or possible problems. It means that I feel a higher level of RESPONSIBILITY for making sure your trip goes as planned. Travel experience is irreplaceable, but it is also SUBJECTIVE. Having been a travel agent means that I combine my extensive travel knowledge WITH hundreds of hours of actual education about destinations. I have spent over 25 years of my life in the travel industry, including time in the hospitality/hotel world, the airline world and also as a travel agent. Having visited over 45 countries, I truly believe that travel changes lives. It has given our kids a deeper perspective on the world. Travel has made them flexible and adaptable. It has opened their hearts to other cultures and shown them that our actions truly have global consequences. THIS is my why. As a family, we seek out immersive, authentic travel experiences that enrich our lives, deepen our understanding and help us create lifelong family memories. Life is so busy. I love helping families make uninterrupted time to be together creating those memories.

Ben Andrew
Lives in Bangkok, Thailand
Sawasdee Krub 🙏 // A big hello from Thailand, the Land of a Thousand Smiles! 🇹🇭 Hey, I'm Benji! I've been living and working in the travel industry here in Thailand for the past six years now, and what a journey it's been! 🤯 Before settling in this beautiful country, I spent five years on the Gold Coast in Australia, also in the travel biz. Funny story—I actually arrived in Thailand by chance! I was on my way back to the UK from Australia after my visa expired (feeling pretty bummed about leaving), and I booked the longest layover I could find: two days in Bangkok. Thailand was never even on my radar before that. In fact, I didn’t even know where it was on the map! (Don't worry, I do now!) But those two days changed everything. I fell in love with the country, the people, and the incredible vibe here. Before I knew it, I landed a job that let me travel around Thailand and get paid to explore this amazing place. Fast forward five years—I had worked my way up to operations manager, but something was missing. I wanted a place to call home, instead of living out of a suitcase. So, I decided to put down some roots. Now, here I am, living in Bangkok for the past year and doing what I love most: creating unforgettable trips and itineraries that let you experience Thailand the way I did. Whether you're planning a "backpacker budget, hostel-hopping, living-your-best-life" kind of adventure or you're more into the "boujee 5-star, private guide, luxury travel" scene, I've got you covered. Or maybe you want a mix of both? No problem! Let me craft your Thailand Dream Itinerary and show you why this country stole my heart. 🇹🇭🔥😎

Alexandros Tanidis
Lives in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
Hi I am Alexandros, a very happy and grateful soul and I am in love with the amount of diversity this life and world has to offer. I call myself a time and world traveler. Since I was very young I had a sense of wonder that there must be more than just the place I grew up (Germany) and that one day I will be able to see more. The fact that I played professional football allowed me to travel to different places around the globe. After I stopped playing, the hunger for the world had just begun. I traveled almost the whole world by myself (some spots are still on the list) and became the first professional luggage packer in the world. I am serious, I can prepare my luggage under any circumstance in under 30 minutes while listening to music and thinking about my trip. Jokes aside, traveling can be amazing but there is certainly the down site as well. I have to admit that there were moments I felt lonely and I didn’t know what to do or where to go next but this was never a hurdle for me to stop. Traveling without a plan and learning how to listen more to my gut made the journey far more interesting, I mean there is always a plan in no planing somehow but I love to just go for it without thinking too much. I learned how to say no to what I don’t want without feeling bad. In every country I have been I was able to find a place to make money and if this is something you are concert with I assure you that there are enough options to work and make money while traveling. I am traveling solo for more than 13 years and I am just 32. But to be fair nobody is alone ones he goes out to the world with an open heart. My best part of traveling is the actual experience of having the whole world in front of me and certainly the taste of freedom and the opportunity to discover new places and things. Making real friends and enjoying local food. Remember, the road appears when we take the first step. If this sounds interesting to you I would love to have a chat.
