I envision the Next Renaissance will be in the small towns and villages in Italy, where the people, descendents from ancient Etruscan and Lombard, are indigenous to this region and have lived close to the earth for over 2500, cultivating a simple but beautiful way of life we can all learn from. There is a shift away from big corporate travel toward slow/small travel where you can listen to Mother Earth, Father Sky and your own Heart and Soul. It is the way I like to travel....and live.
Join me for a week in this authentic medieval village perched on a hill overlooking the fertile Telesina Valley with her Falanghina and Aglianico vineyards, the olive groves and the magical Mount Tiburno and Calore River.
Enjoy! Buon Viaggio!!

Rome, the eternal city, captivates visitors with its timeless allure and monumental history. Steeped in over 2,000 years of civilization, every corner tells a story of ancient empires, Renaissance art, and modern vitality. A visit to the Colosseum, the grand amphitheater that once hosted gladiatorial contests, offers a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Rome, while the Roman Forum nearby serves as an open-air museum of political and social life in antiquity. Beyond the ruins, Vatican City beckons with the awe-inspiring St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums, home to Michelangelo's masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Wandering through Rome's cobblestone streets, visitors encounter an endless array of architectural marvels, from the majestic Pantheon to the elegant Spanish Steps. Each piazza invites leisurely strolls and indulgent dining experiences, where traditional trattorias serve up delectable Roman cuisine alongside world-class wines. Embrace the city's dolce vita spirit with a leisurely passeggiata along the Tiber River or a sunset vista from the romantic Gianicolo Hill. With its blend of ancient grandeur and modern charm, Rome promises an unforgettable journey through the heart of Italy's cultural legacy.

After living in Florence for three months, it is easy to say that it is our favorite in Europe (we might be biased). Getting lost of the history, architecture, and culture that this city offers is something we could do forever. In this guide, we’ll be sharing our favorite spots, activities, and hidden gems throughout Florence, and we will do our best to keep this guide as concise and valuable as possible. Enjoy and happy travels!

There are many different ways to see the Emerald Isle from group travel, to train travel, bus travel, to self-drive or chauffer driven.
This itinerary focuses on some areas of the country that are "off the beaten path" and accessible by self-drive or hiring your own private driver.
We highlight some points of interest that are common to the country, but delve into some other spectacular sites, villages and places that don't normally show up on a "typical Irish getaway".
The itinerary is mapped out for a grand tour of the country, going to towns and villages that aren't always referenced in the normal brochures and is perfect for people who may have seen a lot of Ireland already and want to delve into smaller, niche areas; or for those who enjoy traveling off-the-beaten path and away from most of the general tourist destinations - getting into the heart of the country.

THE DAY-BY-DAY GUIDE TO A PERFECT WEEK IN ROME 🇮🇹
I've been fortunate enough to visit Rome multiple times and even more fortunate to have been guided by true Italian friends. Here I take all that I've learned from those travels and distill it into one perfect week.
This itinerary is great whether you've been to Rome before or are returning and hoping to explore some new spots. You'll visit classics like the Colosseum and the Vatican (where I still find something new to drop my jaw every time I go) as well as more underrated places that most tourists mistakenly skip in a rush to see other parts of Italy.
With that in mind, you'll notice this itinerary is a full 7 days. I see this as the minimum to truly see Rome. Many people only spend 2-3 days here, and I completely understand. Europe is expensive and you want to make the most of your trip. If that's you, this itinerary can still help - just pick your favorite days. Or, check out the 3-day itinerary I've created and linked below. But, I think you'll find that even a full 7 days barely scratches the surface of the Eternal City, and you'll be itching to come back to see (and eat) everything Rome has to offer!

Strolling through Verona is like entering a story of eternal love, where every stone and every street whispers the secrets of past centuries. Imagine yourself walking through the charming alleys, feeling the gentle breeze that brings with it the aroma of the flowers that adorn the balconies. Crossing the Pietra Bridge, the Adige River shines in the sunlight, creating reflections that seem to dance. The majestic and imposing Verona Arena invites you to imagine the voices that have echoed through its arches throughout the ages. And when you finally find yourself under Juliet’s balcony, it’s impossible not to feel the magic of the romance that makes Verona so special. On every corner, the city opens its heart, welcoming you in an embrace that promises unforgettable memories.

In this guide, I'll share with you all the budget hostels I stayed at around the world and my honest opinion about them.
Most of my travels I did as a solo female traveller. And hostels were often the best option - cheap, safe, great places to meet another traveller.
