A guide of the best museums to visit in Seattle

This is a hybrid tourist-local guide of how to spend a day or weekend in Seattle, soaking up all of the iconic sites.

If you enjoy the wild west, rodeo or wildlife, then you need to plan a visit to Cody Wyoming. Cody was founded by none other than Buffalo Bill Cody, who brought the wild west to life. 🐃 Bill Cody traveled around the world, performing in his Wild West show. He still lives on in Cody. The Irma Hotel hosts his show daily. His museum, Buffalo Bill Center of the West, at the edge of town, is the largest of its kind, housing 5 distinctive museums dedicated to everything related to the Wild West. Cody also hosts a championship rodeo every night with a multitude of events. Put on your cowboy boots and hat and settle in for a few days. There is plenty here to see and do. Not to mention that Cody is the eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park.

Every detail about how I pulled off a trip around the Western United States and saw some of the country's most incredible natural wonders for less than $1,300 total. 🤯 Of course, this is the exact route that we used, but there are plenty of other options to choose from. Keep in mind, this is definitely not the itinerary to follow if you are looking to spend a significant amount of time in one specific area.
