During the last 7 years I have been traveling around the world and trying to find my way to live traveling. The first 3 years I hitchhiked around South America discovering my own country Peru and visiting Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador. After South America, 4 years ago I started my travels in Europe and Africa. I have been in Spain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, UK, Turkey, Poland and Morocco. I travel slow, I like to just get inmerse into a daily life as a local so I am the kind of nomad that spend months in one country or city or decide to move for a while in a new country and come back many times and see how a place has changed, how new people and new times in life can bring me new experiences in the same place. I volunteer while traveling mainly in hostels, I also use couchsurfing hosting or as a guest, sometimes wildcamping, sometimes I travel hitchiking, sometimes renting a car or with plane, train or buses. Hi I am Alexandros, a very happy and grateful soul and I am in love with the amount of diversity this life and world has to offer. I call myself a time and world traveler. Since I was very young I had a sense of wonder that there must be more than just the place I grew up (Germany) and that one day I will be able to see more. The fact that I played professional football allowed me to travel to different places around the globe. After I stopped playing, the hunger for the world had just begun. I traveled almost the whole world by myself (some spots are still on the list) and became the first professional luggage packer in the world. I am serious, I can prepare my luggage under any circumstance in under 30 minutes while listening to music and thinking about my trip. Jokes aside, traveling can be amazing but there is certainly the down site as well. I have to admit that there were moments I felt lonely and I didn’t know what to do or where to go next but this was never a hurdle for me to stop. Traveling without a plan and learning how to listen more to my gut made the journey far more interesting, I mean there is always a plan in no planing somehow but I love to just go for it without thinking too much. I learned how to say no to what I don’t want without feeling bad. In every country I have been I was able to find a place to make money and if this is something you are concert with I assure you that there are enough options to work and make money while traveling. I am traveling solo for more than 13 years and I am just 32. But to be fair nobody is alone ones he goes out to the world with an open heart. My best part of traveling is the actual experience of having the whole world in front of me and certainly the taste of freedom and the opportunity to discover new places and things. I am recent college grad who has been planning my family's vacations, and then my solo travels, since I was 11 years old! I'm from New York, so NYC is my specialty, but I've been all over the East and West Coasts, as well as much of Europe, and I'm looking to travel to Asia soon. You might think that I'm a little too young to know stuff about traveling and to give out advice, but I've been traveling since I was a little girl, because even though I was born and raised in Italy, I'm also half bulgarian from my dad's side, so, since I can remember, we've been going to Bulgaria at least once a year. Also, my family has always been keen on traveling and whenever we had the chance we would go away even just for a few days. I started traveling alone when I was about fifteen years old, just by going to a friend's house, and then the next year I got on a plane all alone for the first time (and haven't stopped since).
