This five-day itinerary and adventure guide to the most beautiful hikes, spas, trails, lakes, restaurants and museums in Munich is the result of over four years of discovering the city as a lifestyle writer, hours of planning, and my personal favorite places and activities around town and Bavaria. This itinerary outlines nine days of continuous adventure on the North Island of New Zealand. Spend a couple days exploring Auckland and the nearby islands, head out west for some black sand beaches and secret coves, hit up some insane hiking trails, and head to the east coast for some stunning beaches that draw the local crowds all summer. This itinerary is partially in hotels, but most of it is geared towards campervanning or rooftop tenting it through the North Island (that's what we did & LOVED it). It also includes a few hours of driving a day, and quite a few hiking opportunities (of course these can be substituted for other activities in the area). If you don't want to drive as much you could always spread the activities over more days, or skip your least favourite part to spend more time in the other areas ... but good luck trying to choose! Each day outlines activities to fill your day, how much driving, what to eat, where to stay, and other suggestions / information. I travelled to the wonderful Isle of Skye in Scotland, visiting the Loch Ness and Inverness on the way, on a budget and without a car: pretty challenging but definitely doable if well optimised ! The BEST accommodation options for your trip around ICELAND -for ALL BUDGETS. Iceland is an incredible country, its dramatic landscapes and tourist infrastructure make it a must visit destination with appeal for all ages. I coordinated and lead an adventure tour here recently and it is honestly one of the most beautiful and magical destinations I have ever been to. In this guide I share my top recommendations for Icelandic accommodation, divided into budget categories. If you only have a few days and aren't planning to move around much further than the golden circle, or if you won't have access to your own car, my advice would be to stay in Reykjavik for most of your nights and do day trip tours with a stay somewhere special out in the countryside for 1 or 2 nights as a treat. Iceland doesn't have good public transport links outside of the capital so you really have two options, book onto a tour or it's one of the best places to do a self drive adventure. (If you're planning for Winter, don't let the ice worry you- opt for an SUV and contact the rental place in advance to ask for studs on your tyres)

When I first arrived in Guardia, Luigi Orso would pass me in his pickup truck as I was walking around, minding my own business, he'd motion for me to hop in and off we'd go to visit his friends in the countryside.
