Prague whispers history on the wind, its cobbled streets lined with a thousand tales waiting to be unfurled. Majestic castles like Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle complex in the world, pierce the sky, their spires a constant reminder of the city's rich past. The Vltava River, a shimmering ribbon of life, reflects the golden glow of a bygone era, its waters carrying whispers of emperors, artists, and revolutionaries.
But Prague is more than just a museum under an open sky. Here, the past vibrates with the present. The astronomical clock in Old Town Square puts on a mesmerizing hourly spectacle, a reminder of the city's ingenious spirit. The aroma of steaming bowls of goulash wafts from cozy restaurants, promising a feast for the senses. And around every corner lies a charming square, alive with the buzz of conversation, laughter, and the clinking of glasses in cheerful pubs.

I created this guide for the Airbnb "Hillside Getaway" (link below) with food and outdoor enthusiasts in mind and those wanting to experience the cultural side of Portland.
Although my childhood hometown has changed a lot over the years, Portland is still the vibrant, artsy, cultured city I've always known. The "Rose City" has so much to offer—a great food and music scene, the outdoors, and an independent spirit—surrounded by forests and set between two rivers, the peaks of the Cascades, and the Pacific Ocean. This environmentally conscious city has a good rail system with miles of bike paths and walking trails.
Virtual explorers and trip planners alike, explore Portland with this interactive guide. Check out what to SEE + DO, places to DRIVE + RIDE, and where to EAT + DRINK around this river city in the northwestern corner of Oregon.
This list is far from exhausted and will continue to expand. Click places and links to learn more.

This short guide focuses on only a fraction of the eastern half of South Philadelphia.
The neighborhoods:
- "East Passyunk" (pronounced PASH-unk by locals) is a residential neighborhood with a lively restaurant scene.
- "Italian Market" is the name of the old Italian neighborhood around 9th street, which still hosts a large outdoor market. Nowadays, the neighborhood is home to many Mexican and Vietnamese immigrants. This is reflected in the diverse cuisines!
- Queen Village and South Street. South street is the border between Center City (not "downtown), and South Philly. This area has an abundance of vintage stores and art galleries and street art. Notably you may see many glass mosaics on stores and homes by Isaiah Zagar, which culminates at the Magic Gardens.

What makes a sightseeing tour fun? Especially when kids are around? Conventional tour buses are okay, but I rather try to find alternative ways to explore a city. For this, I have an amazing idea. 🤩
Budapest has been conquered by mini sculptures made by Mihály Kolodko - a Ukrainian sculptor, who moved to Budapest in 2017. These mini sculptures are mostly made out of metal & after installation, he usually posts only a photo (maybe a hint) on socials, about the location of the new addition.
IMAGINE a family approved sightseeing tour in Budapest, where the small child(ren) can play ’treasure hunt’ searching for these art installations, 🕵🏼 while the whole family gets a unique glimpse of Budapest’s city center. Personally, I love unique ideas & for me it would be a perfect alternative approach for a traditional sightseeing tour.
