The Amalfi Coast isn't a coastline, it's a masterpiece sculpted by nature itself. Imagine a place where dramatic cliffs plunge into the sapphire waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Villages cling precariously to these cliffs, their colorful houses cascading down like vibrant jewels. The salty caress of the sea breeze mingles with the intoxicating aroma of lemon groves, creating a perfume that lingers in the air. Unlike the serene flatlands, the Amalfi Coast pulsates with an energy as vibrant as its colorful past. History whispers from every cobbled street and ancient monument. Yet, there's a sense of tranquility too, a chance to simply relax on pristine beaches or explore hidden coves by boat. The Amalfi Coast isn't just for the privileged few; it's a place where luxury meets authenticity, and every corner unveils a new adventure. I never really planned to visit Cabo Verde until I ended up there during sailing trip. And I'm so glad I did because it's such an undiscovered gem! So much so that I came back a year later and spend a few weeks exploring the islands. In this guide I'll take you through the two northern islands as I found them the most interesting and beautiful. The focus of the trip is nature, hiking, diving, sun, music and culture. If you're thinking about visiting Cabo Verde take this as your sign, they will not disappoint. The recommendations in the guide are mostly toward budget travellers as that's how I usually travel. If you're hoping to get more luxurious holiday all you'll need to change is the accomodations. Otherwise this guide is suitable for all pockets. ✔️ 10 day itinerary that takes you through Sao Vicente and Santo Antao ✔️ Day by day plan - where to go, what to see and what to do ✔️ Recommendation of the accomodations I stayed at and liked ✔️ Recommendation for places to eat (based on vegan options) ✔️Transport breakdown including costs (public transport, no car needed) ✔️Activities recommendations and cost breakdown ✔️Links to tried and tested hike routes including maps ✔️Local tips and tricks I learned along the way
