Welcome to the most geographically diverse country in the world, the U.S.A.! This guide is written based off of a road trip that we took in late 2020. The full itinerary is a little over three weeks (23 days, 22 nights), starting and finishing in Orlando (where we were living at the time).
The best part about the itinerary? It's a loop! Allowing you to start and finish wherever. This itinerary is 100% personalizable and as many stops can be added or removed as you'd like. This route offers some amazing places, including the beaches in Florida, the deserts of the southwest, and the coastlines of California.
The most optimal time to take this road trip is during the summer as you'll find the best weather everywhere. But because we're mainly down south, you can take this road trip in the winter without too much trouble in the snow.
This itinerary includes 15 states, nine National Parks, 6000+ miles, and all of the costs we incurred along the way. This itinerary also includes things to see, places to eats, and our favorite things in each location. This itinerary does not include overnight accommodation, so it is necessary to find hotels/airbnbs on your own.

Zion National Park is an all time favorite park for me and somewhere I go nearly every year. I think I'm so obsessed with it because it is so unique compared to every other national park and feels like a completely different world. The massive sandstone cliffs, the slot canyons, the hikes — it is unlike anywhere else I've ever been.
This guide covers the best hikes, places and restaurants to go to in Zion as well as some of the top spots to hit outside of the park in the surrounding towns. I've included a mix of must-see areas (despite being touristy) and some lesser-known hikes that are just as beautiful as the iconic ones.
This is a living map, meaning that every time I return to Zion and do something new (which is often), I'll add to it, and you'll get all of the updates automatically!
Destinations covered:

✔️Where to stay and 6 accommodation recommendations
✔️5 hike recommendations with detailed information on permits and shuttles (if needed)

Follow this itinerary for an incredible, ultra-detailed 1-week road trip in some of the most beautiful landscapes in America. Complete with hike recommendations & drive times, you'll visit all 5 Utah National Parks (Arches, Canyonlands, Capital Reef, Bryce Canyon, & Zion), plus some bonus State Parks along the way. No hike is the same and there is lots to see, so grab your camera, hiking boots, favorite road trip snacks, and get ready for an amazing adventure!
This trip was planned for a week in mid-November but could be adapted for any 7 day travel window, making minor adjustments in timing and apparel for each season, or even extended at the beginning or end for time in Salt Lake City and/or Las Vegas. In addition to seasonal differences, note that many schedules are built around specific sunrise and sunset times. Be sure to check the times for both and make adjustments for your own trip. This itinerary requires a car to travel between each destination.
🧳Trip summary

Day 2 - Arches
Day 3 - Canyonlands + Capitol Reef
Day 4 - Capitol Reef
Day 5 - Bryce Canyon + Zion
Day 6 - Zion
Day 7 - Zion + Fly out
Why this guide?
📒 Hyper-detailed itinerary. This isn't your basic list of suggested activities & restaurants. Your days will be covered down to the minute, including time allotted for travel between activities and recommended transportation options.
🎟️ Advance ticket purchase recommendations. Avoid the lines - and disappointment - by booking tickets ahead of time. You'll be guaranteed entrance and will enjoy walking straight in, past any lines for ticket purchases. Special call outs for combo tickets to bundle and save will also be included where available!
🧾 Location-specific packing list. This won't be a comprehensive list (surely you've remembered your socks), but it will cover some key items to toss in your bag for a truly great experience at your destination.
🏆 Honorable mentions. Unless you booked a one way ticket (jealous!), you've only got a limited time to explore. The suggested itinerary includes my opinions of the best choices for first time visitors with general interest. Feel free to swap those out with any of the honorable mentions.
✨ And finally...
If you are looking for a more tailored experience with a unique twist based on your interests, travel dates, and more, a custom itinerary may be best. I look forward to helping bring your vacation vision to life!

If you’re looking for what to do in Death Valley National Park with kids (or without!), you’re in the right place. This guide will help you decide what to see in Death Valley and what to do in Death Valley with kids.
⭐️ This park is home to the lowest point in the United States and holds the World Record for the hottest place on Earth.🥵
⭐️ Here you will find majestic sand dunes with Mountain backdrops, salt flats that make it seem like a snowy paradise, rocks that move by themselves (or do they?), the most well-preserved charcoal kilns in North America, giant volcanic craters, and Mars-like terrain everywhere you look.
⭐️ The Park was designated a National Park in October 1994, but the fight to protect this land started long before that. Death Valley National Park is visited by approximately 1 million people annually and is the largest National Park in the lower 48 with over 3 million acres of and.
🤓 Whether you are traveling with kids or without, you’ll fall in love with this unique National Park.
Every visitor to Death Valley National Park should make a stop at the Furnace Creek Canyon Visitor center to get a park map, get a weather update, info about the park’s road conditions and possible closures.
Park Rangers are also a wonderful resource for finding out the parks more off the beaten path spots.
☀️ Summertime is Death Valley’s busiest and hottest season.☀️
I believe the best time to visit Death Valley National Park is in the late fall, winter, or early spring. The crowds are much thinner and the weather is much cooler.
🚘How far is Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas? 2 hours, 15 minutes
