My last trip has been to eight south and east african countries were I spent six months backpacking. I have a passion for adventure, food and nature, experiencing new cultures and meeting people. I not only have the experience but also the talent to plan trips and adapt them as best as possible to the wishes of the person traveling. By "hike," I mean a few hours at a slow pace. - MUSEUMS - Spend an afternoon. Read the descriptions on exhibits. Talk with the docents. Buy something in the giftshop. - CHURCHES - I'm fascinated by the various ways people have worshipped the God of the Bible over centuries and across borders. Many older churches are also museums or tourist-friendly spaces. Some additionally hold regular liturgical services. - CASTLES - Castles, fortresses, palaces, big ol' houses: these places transport me back in time. I imagine the people who built, lived in, and defended them. What would they think of how we now live? I like being in new places more than the process of travel. Whenever I go to a new place, I like to spend some time there so that I can learn about the history and the culture. The best case scenario is to make local friends so that you can learn about the country from their perspective.
