Lives in Berlin, Germany
🚀 Hey there, fellow explorers! I'm Natalie, the architect-turned-adventurer behind Walkabout Tours. One year ago, I bid farewell to my desk job to pursue my passion for history, food, and unraveling the architectural tales of cities. 🏦 Since then, I've proudly launched my own tour guiding business 👣 right here in Berlin, the incredible city I now call home. Why trust Walkabout Tours? Well, my journey from drafting blueprints to guiding city tours is fueled by a genuine love for history and design, coupled with a thirst for exploration. As a trained architect, I've honed the art of seeing cities through a different lens. 🔍 What's my travel style? Picture this: consuming as much delicious food as possible, then walking off all the calories by exploring nooks, crannies, side streets, and lesser-known spots. I thrive on uncovering the design gems and history nuggets that make a city pulse with life. Where can I help you plan? I work as a tour guide in Berlin, the gorgeous city I now call home, but I have previously lived for several years in Paris and Rotterdam. I grew up in Australia and have a lifetime's worth of knowledge about both Melbourne and Sydney! My promise to you: I am your local guide when it comes to crafting a unique and personalized experience. Let me create a guide, itinerary, or travel suggestions tailored to your desires to ensure your holiday is an unforgettable journey! 🌟 So, let's embark on a journey where every street is a chapter, and every skyline is a masterpiece. Sarah Pollock
Lives in Madrid, Spain
Sarah Pollock is a twenty-something-year-old traveler, creative, and spiritualist. She graduated with a degree in Business Information Systems (although she did not enjoy it) and a minor in Sustainability from the University of Florida. Since embarking on her first trip abroad to Australia and New Zealand at 15 years old, she has since visited 25 countries and counting- most of them solo. She is also an avid foodie, reader, concert-goer, sitter at coffee shops, introspective thinker, and champion of small businesses. She prides herself on her romantic and nostalgic approach to seeing the world, which is reflected in the hidden gem-filled and slightly sentimental tone of her writing and recommendations. She recently spent this past school year splitting time between Tel Aviv and Be’er Sheva, Israel; teaching English to underrepresented and underprivileged children in both Hebrew and Arabic-speaking schools. She is currently continuing this work in Madrid. For more personal thoughts and musings and present updates on where she is in the world and how she’s feeling about it, consider subscribing to her bi-weekly travel newsletter, Postcards. Other subject matters, though all undoubtedly influenced by her experience living abroad, are explored through her primary publication, Older Sister (both linked in bio).

Jaya Ruzans
Lives in Gold Coast QLD, Australia
Hi, I'm Jaya. I backpack full time around the world, always on a carefully curated budget. Somehow, I end up with loads of free accommodation, in rural areas of countries with locals, at festivals with a free wristband or travelling an entire country in a van for next to nothing. How I get through most of my trips is a shock to even me, but I always pull through with some of the most amazing experiences. I've been trying to figure out how I can best help others begin their travel journey, spend less or have a smoother ride. Thatch fell right in my lap and I couldn't be more thrilled to test this out! I want to be available for personally curated travel advice, for trip tips / guides to cities you've never been. If you need budget help I'm all over crunching numbers (weirdo, I know). I just have so many conversations with friends in my orbit, and I know in my heart I can help some others out there. Some highlights of my trips I'd love to share tips on; I flew from Australia to Europe for $360aud. I travelled in a van from north to south Portugal for $300aud for a whole week. I've volunteered in rural Indonesia teaching a muslim community English, I donated $90aud and I had free accommodation, transport and food for the entire 10 day stay. I managed to get 7 weeks free accommodation across a European Summer one year & saved thousands of dollars. I also want to mention, I'm a massive advocate for dining out, good coffee and good wine. I'm not much of a shopper, but will buy something if my wardrobe wouldn't survive without it (vintage, yes please!) I do travel very light with a 30L backpack that covered me for 5 months straight, & I still haven't seen the brand go viral yet? Everything I've learnt feels far too good to gate keep. So here I am ready to put it all on the table just for you.
