This amazing, penultimate 24-day itinerary was a #wanderlist celebration trip we planned and traveled, as it had always been a dream of ours to spend over 3-weeks touring an area of the world we had yet to experience so to try to gain a greater immersion into the culture. This is a day-by-day itinerary that includes tours, hotel recommendations, restaurant/bar recommendations and tips to traverse through 3 impressive countries and engage with their individual culture, food, nature, and people. This itinerary includes highlights like cruising the Mekong Delta on your own private house boat, attending a Thai boxing match, standing in awe in front of Angkor Wat, scuba diving in the area of the Phi Phi islands, and so much more. This itinerary can be customized and modifed as needed for your travel time, and you can even just focus on one country if you choose. 3 separate families including 6 parents and 8 teenage children embark on a trip of a lifetime to exotic Thailand for two weeks. Will amazing food be eaten? Amazing sights seen? Will drama ensue? This itinerary purposely has us staying in each spot for a minimum of 3 days so as to minimize travel hassles etc. To us it was a great Thailand 101 and there were lots of activities to keep us busy and also good chill time. If we had extra time and more ability to move around we would add Koh Samui and Angkor Watt in Cambodia to the itinerary. This itinerary includes where to stay and eat and what to do. Hotels in this itinerary are upper tier, not quite luxury (with the exception of Bankgok) but still very nice.

Probably, Ankgor Wat or Machu Picchu or the Whitsundays. But, I loved living in Italy, Portugal and Thailand. Being in one places for months or a year allows you to really get to be a traveler and not a visitor. What places would I revisit - all of them! Earth is a big place, there’s so much to see. And I would certainly do things differently now with a family and a 4 year old than I did when I was nomading. What traps for the unwary have I learned? - Visa, scrambling to find WiFi that works at the airport because I didn’t pay a fee to enter Argentina - Visa, having a typo on my birthdate and almost being denied enter - 6 month experiation period for passports - literally had an airline agent in a lounge tear up my boarding pass in front of me
