"This is the birthplace of NZ and the country's most significant historic site. It's where the documents had been signed between the Maori and the British in 1840 to create the NZ of today.
The entrance here includes a guided tour showing you around the Treaty Grounds as well as the museum and a cultural performance held in a beautiful Maori house adorned with wood carvings.
I highly recommend to visit this place to learn a lot about Maori culture and the early history of NZ.
You can book online with the link I've attached or buy your entrance ticket when you're there."

A 5-10 minute drive from paihia's waterfront where you can stop for some food and drinks. "
