"Tenuta Luce stretches southwest of Montalcino, in the heart of the Val d'Orcia Natural Park: a rural landscape wisely redesigned by man, in pre-Renaissance times, and declared an Intangible Heritage of Humanity by Unesco in 2004. It is in this extraordinary land, historically known for its high quality wine, that the Estate's 249 hectares unfold, including extensive woodlands, olive groves and 88 hectares of vineyards.
A unique place in the world, geographically and historically, where wine is life, tradition and culture.
Tenuta Luce founds its philosophy on the idea that wine should be the most natural expression of the place where it is produced, as well as of the specific characteristics of the grapes from which it is made: the result of a perfect balance between vine and territory.
Visits, by reservation only, are planned in every detail by a dedicated staff that takes care of guests from the first contact. It is possible to tour the Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards; visit the winery and winemaking areas, the barrique cellar, the barrel room and taste Tenuta Luce wines (Luce, Lucente, Luce Brunello, Lux Vitis) in the exclusive Wine Library.
The recent opening of the restaurant, located near the winemaking cellar - where the estate's wines are born and aged - now completes the experience.
On the ground floor, an elegant sitting room with a fireplace welcomes visitors, making you feel immediately at home. The restaurant - with an open kitchen - is located on the second floor, featuring an elegant and modern design overlooking the vineyards. In summer it's possible to dine on a large terrace overlooking the garden designed by garden designer Richard Shelbourne.
The restaurant is open by reservation Monday through Friday, exclusively for visitors to the estate. The menu, designed ad hoc by the Chef according to the guests' needs, follows the seasonality of the ingredients. In fact, each course originates from local raw materials, cooked according to the Tuscan tradition and reinterpreted in an original and innovative way by the Chef's expertise.
Each menu is designed in full respect of the wines you choose to taste, so as to offer a food and wine experience that is always harmonious and complete. All the estate wines are available at the restaurant."
