Also there was a learning curve for us in navigating the UK so, we filled this with tips that will hopefully be useful for first-time tourists.

Bancone Covent Garden

Bancone is probably my next go-to for pasta in London! Famous for their silk handkerchiefs, walnut butter, and confit egg yolk pasta (check it out on their Instagram), their other pastas (especially their winter menu with truffle) have been excellent! 

Their portion sizes are slightly larger than Padella and is always a delicious hearty meal.  

There are two branches of Bancone, one in Covent Garden and one in Golden Square.

This was one of the first places I went for dinner when I got to London to study abroad. The quality is GREAT for the price. Would absolutely recommend for a casual sit-down lunch or dinner that's still very good. 

A charming Italian Eatery & Michelin Bib recipient. Stop for pasta (including gluten free options woohoo!) & a glass of Prosseco (it is 5 o'clock somewhere, after all). Bancone opens daily at noon.

Bancone make fresh, hand-made pasta inspired by Italy, London and much of Europe, every day. 
Their entrees range from £9-17 per plate.
