"Cancun is a strange place, you don’t really feel like you’re in Mexico as it’s very Americanised, however if you’re travelling the Yucutan Penisula you’re most likely to fly into Cancun International Airport. I spent 3 nights here in total, 2 nights at the start of my trip and 1 at the end just because I thought I should experience Cancun whilst there. Cancun is a big party vibe known for “Cancun Spring Break” and is filled with sky rise buildings, all-inclusive resorts, and shops that you would find anywhere else in the world. It is along a beautiful beach however I found that I wanted to feel like I was in Mexico when I was first there so I chose to get a ferry to a nearby island, Isla Mujeres, for the day. On my last night in Cancun, I did experience the famous Coco Bongo nightclub which is something I would recommend, along with the Señor Frog bar before hand. Cancun is also a good connection point for getting buses and ferries to almost anywhere on the Yucutan Peninsula. "

"Cancun is the most visited city in Yucatan, the hotel zone is the modern part of the city (similar to Miami) - nightlife, many bars, beautiful beaches. "
