"If there's going to be any sort of crowd around Fjallsjökull, it'll congregate on the short path outside of Frost, the on-site restaurant. For a quieter lookout over the glacier lake, follow the footpath to the Viewpoint of Fjallsjökull. The wide trail starts to the west of Frost. It takes about 10 minutes to hike to the top. You'll be rewarded with an uninterrupted view of the creaking glacier, the sparkling water, and the chunks of ice that look like diamonds. From there, you can even walk down to the rocky shoreline. Watch you step along the way. You might even see a couple of seals as you scan the water."
