I strongly believe that the best way to get in touch with the culture and traditions of a country is to visit different cities that identify it. As far as Spain is concerned, this concept is even stronger because Catalonia and Andalusia are similar in some ways but different in others and crossing different cities to get to know the different facets is the best thing and the one I recommend. This trip turned out to be wonderful and I hope it will be helpful to those who want to plan a tour similar to the one I did. Spain is a land that transmits positivity. The weather is almost always good and sunny, the people very sociable and helpful, the food very good and the culture very strong and identifying.

Montjuïc

Montjuïc is a hill overlooking Barcelona that offers panoramic views of the city and the sea. It’s a cultural and recreational area with attractions like the Montjuïc Castle, the Olympic Stadium, and lush gardens. Montjuïc is a blend of history, nature, and entertainment, making it a popular destination for visitors seeking diverse experiences in Barcelona.

Montjuic is a prominent hill in Barcelona that offers stunning views of the city and is home to several cultural and recreational attractions. Visit Plaza España and walk all the way up to the Olympic Ring with the escalators. Watch the colorful magic fountain if it’s running. Check the link to see if you can see the magical fountain when you visit.

The Montjuic hill, a large green space full of gardens, palaces, panoramic views and several museums, is known as a whole as the Montjuic Park.
 Today it is very famous for the magic fountain show that takes place every day.

👣How to get there: Metro stop: Plaza España, Line L1, L3 and L8.




An Enchanting Hill: While the summer drought had temporarily halted the fountain shows, Montjuic's allure was still undeniable. Some filming action added to the excitement during our visit. Though we missed the museum, we heard it's a must-see and totally worth the 2 euros. 

If you have time and interest you can walk a long way or take the cable car up here to explore.
