8 Day Taiwan Itinerary 

Shifen Waterfall

Another famous day trip from Taipei is Shifen Waterfall. The town is famous for its floating lanterns. Once you get off the train and walk through the town, the waterfall is around a 15 minute walk. It is around a 1 hour and 30 minute train ride from Taipei. 

Often referred to as Taiwan's Little Niagara Falls, Shifen Waterfall is 20m tall and 40m wide. A trip to Shifen Falls can be easily added to your day to Shifen Old Street, as it's about a 30-minute walk from the town.

After crossing a few bridges, this majestic waterfall will leave you gasping. In a good way of course.
