What people say

"The garden features a blue-labeled orangery, which the City Museum of Stockholm recognizes for its significant cultural and historical value. The garden's origins can be traced back to the Swedish Horticultural Association, which established it between 1861 and 1911, creating a greenhouse and horticultural school that trained around 700 gardeners during this period. Originally, the garden, complete with large greenhouses, was situated on Rosendalsterrassen, approximately 180 meters northwest of the current location. The greenhouse, known as the Victoria Regia house, was notable for its cast iron profiles and glass structure. The garden school was overseen by a garden director who resided in the still-standing Garden Director's residence at Rosendalsterrassen 9. However, the greenhouses on Rosendalsterrassen were demolished in the 1910s, leaving only the villa. Since 1982, Rosendal's Garden has been operated as a foundation dedicated to promoting knowledge about biodynamic cultivation and landscape art. The garden also hosts a café, bakery, nursery, and bread shop, with proceeds supporting its maintenance and development. Among its features is Rosendal's orangery, built in 1848 according to architect Georg Theodor Chiewitz’s designs. This orangery, which served as the main building, has been converted into private residences and consists of a prominent round central section with two wings. The orangery lends its name to the nearby Orangerivägen, further highlighting its historical significance within the area. "
"A wonderful botanic garden where you can enjoy many different plant species and beautiful views. There is a beautiful café where you can enjoy a lunch out of time and there are many workshops to better know plants and flowers. The garden is in the middle of the Royal Gardens, you can arrive by bus or tram."
"Rosendals is a garden center and café, with both coffee and lunch. Everything is organic and sustainable, with a focus on nature, and many ingredients are grown on-site. Here, you can enjoy the lush greenery all year round. There are events throughout the year, and it's especially cozy during the winter."
