"This is my favorite spot in Nusa Penida and I low-key came to Indonesia for this. The Tembeling Beach and Forest has natural pools where the water is refreshed continuously so it's completely safe to swim. The pool is shallow so even if you're a non-swimmer, you can go in the water without any problems. The only caveat is that the drive to the entrance of the beach is very dangerous, it's steep and ricketty and there are people with bikes who will take you down to the beach for a price. Now, I did see many people drive down to the beach themselves so it's definitely doable but if you're not sure of your two-wheeler driving skills, then it's best to pay for a ride down. Note: Cars cannot go down to the beach."

"Definitely a must visit on Nusa Penida! The natural pools are beautiful and the water is refreshingly cold! Go early to avoid many tourists invading your space. You can either walk down or pay for a scooter ride. It is a 30 minute walk and the road is fine, but only recommended if you are moderately fit. I paid 50k per person for a one way scooter ride back up - but be warned, it's a very bumpy ride. Trust the local guys they know what they are doing but I would wear a helmet for your safety! I don't recommend driving this road on your own scooter unless you are very comfortable with driving steep and dangerous rocky roads. There is also a lady with a little stall at the pools that sells cool drinks and snacks!"
"Best place we saw in Nusa Penida. Less tourists. The way down is next level. If you’re not an experienced bike rider or your motorbike doesn’t have a lot of cc’s, then it’s best to take one of the taxi guys down My husband is experienced but the the way up is no joke. It was quite an adventure! Incredible spot to swim in the pools and enjoy the scenery. The lush green on the way down is incredible. "
