What people say

"Although Alte Utting is a little outside the Munich centre city, offers an edgy drinking scene not easily found in Munich. (We‘re not Berlin). This bar complex features a former steamer ship, turned bar and events location. The old vessel is suspended on a defunct pedestrian bridge spanning Lagerhausstraße. Complete with seating in the boat, on the bridge around the boat, and a beer garden on the ground under the boat, there are tons of seating options to fit your mood. In addition to drinks, there are also a few stands in the beer garden offering pizza, paste, crepes, and other dishes. I would recommend only visiting in the warmer months, as I think this venue soars when patrons can take advantage of the outdoor seating. Alte Utting is also down the street from Drei Mühlen, and could provide a great after dinner bar. Personal Anecdote: I discovered this place when my friends threw their their joint birthday party in the Yurt in the beer garden. "

"An old boat/ferry on a bridge that has been turned into a bar and (of course) put on a bridge. At sunset, you've got beautiful views over the city, you're also in one of the most creative corners of Munich, have a choice between pizza, pasta, curry, fries, and lots of other food stalls, plus you can sit either in the bow of the ship or on deck. Wood interior with velvet sofas - on Sundays, there's the occasional flea market here, but in general, it's one of my favorite places to hang out, have a beer and meet interesting people. "
"Very unique bar, the building is a former steam ship that is currently stuck on old railroad tracks. "
