What people say

"An incredible baroque style Roman catholic church just steps away from the Pantheon. The church was built on a 14th century chapel, Santa Maria Maddalena, the regional church for the people of Abruzzo. In 1586, San Camillo de Lellis was given the church, and in the early 17th century the church was rebuilt and expanded on the designs of Carlo Fontana and Giovanni Antonio de Rossi, eventually completed in 1699 in its current baroque style by Giulio Carlo Quadri. The interior is architecturally complex, and displays features similar to Borromini’s, such as the octagonal nave with two chapels at each flank. It is only a small church, especially from the outside, but an incredibly beautiful and picturesque place filled with history and mesmerising artwork."
